Its been great to see you guys grow over the years and inspire me to keep making videos. Im planning on studying at queensland university for 6 months and im very keen on going fishing. just a little heads up; if q bluefin gets scratched on a rock or something, it dies. no questions asked, if it gets scratched it goes blind. dont ask me why, but i've seen it happen in fish farms. just so you know. great release though you really respect the fish. great job guys.
@MorningTideFishing7 жыл бұрын
There's been a couple Longtails we've caught that have massive scars on them like another fish attacked when they were small or they'd been caught once before?
@andreamallia34367 жыл бұрын
those are probably because they are shallow cuts. the second it hits a rock or a rope, if the skin gets punctured, it gets infected easily. im no expert, but ive seen tuna in fish farms that get skittish and hit the net that closes them in and theu get scratched. they survive a week at max after that. they go blind and starve.
@MorningTideFishing7 жыл бұрын
Really interesting, thanks for the info!

you do understand that there's a massive difference in the chance of bacterial infection between fish being kept in pens AKA (aquacultured) and wild caught fish living in the open ocean. You re the sort of person that just wants to nit pick and look for something to bitch about. keep up the excellent work lads. should make a trip over to steep point , shit gets loose up there.

@MorningTideFishing7 жыл бұрын
That was a 8000H dogfight and a Daiwa DemonBlood 962H. The reel is totally overkill, but I use it for that 1 in a 100 hook up that tries to spool you!

22 kg line? Wtf awesome
@MorningTideFishing8 жыл бұрын
+valentino sdrogo That line is really thin (22kg (48lb) but it's only P.E 1.8) so I think i got close to 1.6 kilometers on the dogfight haha! Which is just over kill but it's in theory ready for those massive rogue fish that used to smoke me every time.

8000H?
@MorningTideFishing8 жыл бұрын
+ImFewz Yeah it's to big for fish like this but i got it so i don't get smoked ever again haha. There is that fish that comes by every 1 in a 100 that used to just destroy me but now i stand a chance. The reel is heavy and hard to spin with all day long but when on a fish you are extremely confident!

Hey guys, got a Facebook page with 5100 readers, a fishing website that gets 300 new visitors every day, and an email fishing report that goes to 4050 Aussie anglers twice a month. Keen to link your videos and support what you’re doing but can you tone down the language? We’ve got kids on the sites, and parents who vet the videos they can watch. Can’t do anything with this, and that’s a shame. Cheers, Andrew
@MorningTideFishing8 жыл бұрын
+downriggershop Thanks for the feed back mate, we've run into similar trouble with other sharing sites and have made an effort to remove swearing where possible in our edits. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5jZeYierdF_rJo i think is sweet. But in something like this film where it's unedited there's not much we can do. I read once that people swear because of a underdeveloped vocabulary, like they just don't have the words to accurately express how emotional they are and I reckon we prolly fall into that category haha.
@jsullivan055 жыл бұрын
Trying to look past the subs was annoying. Add those in post to the youtube subs thing, hard-coding them on the video all over the place like that in such huge font was super distracting. Great fish though bud.
