couscous is really boring, this was really, truly a breath of fresh air to make it come to life. I would usually boil the water with chopped up onions, garlic, green seasonings, just to add flavour to the couscous, so I'll try these other ingredients and more too.

@nastynate14209 жыл бұрын
+DJ BBQ thanks for replying I am a big fan. I am from Chicago so it's nice to see someone from food tube is from the states. Forget the knife skills the finished product is what matters and you killed it. If I may I would like to leave some feedback. I would like to see tasting after the dish is cooked. It would have been amazing to see you crack open a prawn, show how perfect you cooked it, taste it, and describe the flavor and temperature.

That couscous is going to be dry like that brother. Add all the liquid from your salsa, some salt, and some oil (flavored oil is best) and it will change everything.

could the orange and prawn be replaced with lemon and shrimp? or would it alter the intended flavors too much to the point where it's just a different dish?
@TheBeetrootman9 жыл бұрын
+Heat Skeeter Replacing the shrimp with the prawn will be fine, in terms of the lemon they're both citrus and I think it would work but it would change the flavours. Any reason why you can't use oranges; they're quite easy to find.
@HeatSkeeter9 жыл бұрын
I'm simply not that big of a fan of Oranges, i love lime and lemon, but oranges leave a bitter aftertaste that just doesn't work for me.

As a Moroccan I love the prawn, but the non steamed couscous is an insult. The OG Moroccan couscous is steamed and extremely fluffy. Soaked couscous doesn't has that nutty flavor the it deserves. Soaked couscous just tastes like raw dough

You can also steam it in the mocrowave, gives the same effect as in a steamer. You have to put it in for several times an stirr it and put it back in the mocrowave until you have the right structure..
