Red Earth is one of those games where I'm surprised more indie game developers haven't mine it for ideas. Really, a RPG-Fighting Game hybrid where you take a character and level them up in the story and/or arcade modes to gain more abilities and combos as they fight progressively tougher bosses would be a unique approach to creating more Single-Player fare for a fighting game. Oh, and I'm down for you to tackle more Red Earth. Tessa would be my pick if you revisit the game, and maybe play her in Pocket Fighter to top it all off.

Matt, thank you so much for covering Warzard! Red Earth community is so happy that this game is getting a recognition now! we were playing this game since 2019, had weekly tournaments with prize pools as well! we discovered a lot of stuff and even completed the wiki! This game is a gem, it has so much depth, some fighting games would dream having that much looseness, especially considering that this game has 4 characters! I’m actually shocked that capcom managed to make something like this with this small roster. again, Matt, thank you so much for trying out this treasure of a fighting game! if you decide to give this game a go, I can help you out, just let me know

I'm glad to see Warzard has a community behind it. When I bought my CPS3 board back in mid 2000s with SF3, the guy selling it threw it in for free, at the time I had no idea what it was. I think I probably have played more Warzard on my cab than any other game.

This game's come a long way and the community's still learning and discovering new stuff of this game. @@HBProductionMugen once upon a time their value was kind of trash because the boards couldnt be phoenixed yet and all the security batteries were dying. I paid for the cps3 board for SF but they threw in the disc and cart for Red Earth/Warzard for free. Also got cheap JoJos. Most of those games at the time were considered failures at the arcades so places were offloading them and everything was moving to modern wide-screen cabinets.

The reason I started to enjoy Matt's work, and continue to do so, is his ability to carry content with his personality. There is no hyper crazy edits in his videos. No mindless screaming or constant cut aways. He let's himself carry the video and stays as the star of it. He knows how to entertain people by being witty and giving actual commentary (either in his experience with this let's plays or his Wha Happun videos). And just throwing in those little skeleton style versions is just the cherry on top. I enjoyed this and wanted to just give a thanks to you Matt for staying unique in your style and just being you.

Fantastic work on this showcase! These games definitely deserve all the love and attention they’re getting from fans both old and new! You definitely have a genuine love for these games. I would love a Darkstalkers retrospective from you. The origins and making of the series is fascinating, tho it’s surprising how there’s several different origins for how they started. Regardless, I feel the more people know and learn of this franchise and get to know the characters, the more fans will come to it. Hopefully, one day, it’ll get the next game we’ve been waiting for (also Puzzle & Gem Fighter because that SD Chibi style is so great, especially for references, and I’d love to see it applied to franchises post 1997. RE, DMC, MH, etc would all be hilarious). Hope to see you online in CFC one day!

I dunno. I never thought it was particularly great even in the original Darkstalker games never mind it's re-use in non-DS games that came later. To me it was like how crude the Mega Man NES sprite always was, I gave it a pass in the first MM but all SIX NES games used the same dorky looking sprite whereas most other games often improved their sprites even with fewer games (Mario for example).
