I like how Morrissey tactfully plugs Hand In Glove at the end, in hope that it would gain popularity. He really loved that track.

That was his manifesto. It’s just a shame that he lost touch with how it felt to rise above rejection and penury. When Morrissey had nothing, he felt the world was against him but he rejoiced in defiance; when he had everything, he felt the world was against him and he sulked.

I saw him on that 1985 tour at Middlesbrough Town Hall. All the reticence of the first Smiths tours had fallen away and he had turned into a whirling slattern with the insouciance of a kitten. Unusually, he left his shirt on that night, but he was still a complete trollop in other ways.

Morrissey was being very polite and patient there. You can see the cogs whirling inside his head thinking 'what am I on this shite for'? To get inside Moz's head you have to pique his interest. Some interviews he's done are painful because the interviewer just didn't have the intelligence to make him divulge anything.
@CruceEntertainment3 жыл бұрын
Ok Morrissey and here is a movie called “Bad News Bears”, and one called “Debbie Does Dallas”, and another called “The Empire On Strike”… not sure what they are striking about, perhaps wages. Have you seen these, and what are your thoughts about them?
