In Mortal Kombat 3, each character has their own unique Animality. For example, Kitana turns into a bunny, while Mileena transforms into a skunk. Johnny Cage takes the form of a kangaroo, and Sonya, the military specialist, becomes an eagle. Interestingly, Scorpion doesn't transform into his namesake; instead, his Animality is a penguin. The ability to become a scorpion was given to Sheeva in this game. However, Scorpion later gained the ability to turn into a scorpion in Mortal Kombat 4 as part of his "Scorpion Sting" Fatality and also in MK1. Other characters have similarly interesting transformations. Kano becomes a spider, Sindel turns into a hornet, and Liu Kang, fittingly, transforms into a dragon. Jade, who is known as Kitana's best friend and wears green while wielding a bo staff, takes the form of a cat for her Animality. Quan chi is a necromancer, this means he can use his sorcery to turn the dead flesh or bones into slaves for his use(I.e. revenants from MkX and 11). This goes well with the fact that his animality is the skeleton of a long gone(dead) T. rex

@Kenny Bomb honestly Reptile should be a Mosasaurus and how the animality plays out is reptile dives into the ground forming a pool of water and then the character is pulled up into the air by a cable by the feet now the character is hung by the feet over the water and reptile jumps out of the water as a Mosasaurus and chomps down on the character and then pulls them free and devours the character under water a nod to that famous scene in the first Jurassic World

Honestly, I was expecting the Gorilla to be Reptile just as a reference to his original animality back in the day where he turns into a chimp. As for the tiger, it does seem to have black paint around the eyes. It doesn't look like Reiko's face paint, so it's probably not him. Tanya does have black makeup around the eyes, so maybe she gets the tiger. I think it would be fitting for her.
