Base mk1's story was well written and nuanced (until the end, maybe, which was good). Khaos reigns is redundant and characters like Mileena fall flat in execution. Not to say base Mileena was poorly written, she was a major plot device and had agency, as well as her own chapter. But you want me to believe these Mileena and Kitana, well known champions and proud of their empire, would just let them fight their armies while they went elsewhere? They would be taking on havik with liu kang (or at the very least taking on Kenshi and saving Geras?? Did everyone collectively forget Geras needed help?)

​@@tristancarter4324First, Shang Tsung did not create Tarkat, nor did Liu Kang. It seem to be a way for Tarkatans to continue in Liu Kang's timeline after he tried to erase them. Secondly, as the first point indicates, I don't think it is possible for the Titans to remove souls from the timelines, so Kang did the next best thing for the problematic ones and either reformed thier lives so they would become better people, or removed their means of rising to power. He had no way of predicting an interloper agitating the peace.

@@Emeraldwing12 no Lui Kang added his shang back in as a mortal with no skills the other shang restored his innate skill of sorcery back to him And yes shang brought tarkat to Lui timeline cause it wasn't there at first a race become a disease so they not tarkatan souls they infected people (old shang is same one that created the older timeline Mileenas so he know how to do that) and Lui baraka is a human infected not even the same baraka so yes souls can be erased Kitana in her timeline made the bad guys fates where they died young etc. Lui didn't he just plan for them to have mundane lives till other shang shown them why they could be like shao in story mode another example he was ment to just be a jobber this time before stuff went downhill
