Rather than just being Shang/Shao's jobber lackey, he's rizzing up Ashrah, working for Mileena and has gathered the respect of all of the Edenians and Earthrealmers. I love how in this timeline pretty much everybody loves and respects Syzoth, with only the most evil hating or mocking him, a complete flip from him his prior depictions. He's been one of the biggest winners in Liu Kang's timeline. It was hilarious hearing him sound so shy and doubtful about playing a villain in a Johnny Cage movie. Between that and the Predator reference, I would love a skit of Syzoth, Johnny, and a few other Earthrealmers enjoying movie night at Cage Mansion.

Reptile has always been an amazing character. After this game, he became one of my top 3 Mortal Kombat characters of all time (after Kuai Liang and Hanzo Hasashi). The character development he went in this game is certainly remarkable. A few notes: 1) So now he likes Ashrah? Ok, that's cute. She may be a demon, but hey, so is Sareena and she and Kabal ended up together in Mortal Kombat 11, right? 2) Love how Reptile roasts Reiko by doubting his abilities as second in command to Shao. 3) Wait a minute, Havik's real name is Dairou? As a longtime Reptile fan I'm very happy with what they've done with him in MK 1. Design-wise and story-wise he's been given an amazing update in the game. His transformation abilities between human and Zaterran form is such an unique find. His role as emissary to the royal family, rather than a slave, is perfect for him. ​@superduperblurrymario8056 its hard to tell. Havik is apparently portrayed to be native to Seido, which in the old games was the capital city of Orderrealm. Later in his and Rain's ending, Rain wad manipulated into flooding the entire place, so I don't know if Seido is its own entire realm, like in the old games, or if its just a city that in a farther part of Outworld. Remember, this game doesn't portray Edenia as an entirely separate realm that was merged into Outworld by conquest. Its always been part of Outworld here. So following that logic, maybe there's only Earthrealm, Outworld, and Neatherrealm this time around, and Outworld is the realm that carries multiple aspects from other realms, including what use to be Orderrealm and maybe Chaosrealm. Edit: Just did some back checking on clips with Havok. Yeah, Orderrealm is still a thing. No mention of Chaosrealm though.
