For the those of you confused on why kabal is a bad guy and not good guy cop like he was in mk9, it's because before he was a cop he worked for the black dragon, he gave that up to become a cop but then he was burned by kintaro and he needed cybernetic enhancements to live. Then he was killed by sindel. He became a revenant and was never turned back. These intro references are all of kabal before mk9 when he was in the black dragon. He also has a few from around mkx when he was a revenant.

Former NRS developer, Brian Chard mentioned Ed Boon and some NRS developers actually liked Kobra. NRS enjoy killing any MK characters like Mileena, Sonya, Liu Kang, etc no matter what.

Now we know both kabal and erron black stories are retcon because in MK9 kabal was a black dragon truned police officer but now in MK11 he was already a police officer and was bought off by kano which is stupid and in MKX kano asked if erron wanted to be part of the black dragon and he refused but now MK11 is saying he was already part of the black dragon. This is why I stoped playing MK11 it keeps retconning stories for no reason and it makes no sense anymore.
