I feel that the Mortal Kombat line should also include more hands considering it's more or less a hand to hand combat game, fist, flat hands etc. Would just allow for more in game style poses

I really don't understand why they created so many Spawn figures! It would have been awesome to get more actual MK characters! Hopefully MK12 rectifies that with its action figure lines and we see much more variety of characters created! Thanks for the review of Nightwolf. It's on sale for 12 bucks on Amazon right now and I might be getting it!

he can actually hold all 3 arrows rather well if it looks like he's shooting them all at once. There's a nob on the end of the arrows that fits into his hand nicely.

With the right lighting this figure would look menacing the colors made him pop and they did great with his eyes

The irony is the Baraka from this wave has a ton of Paint, way more than the first Barakas.

Great and honest review. I hope they included the club-like axe he slings at back. plus the 3 animal spirits. Also one of the tomahawk should be realistic, not both green.

To be honest I have no issues with these MK figures "Lacking paint". I think too much paint would be overkill. I think the scultped detaisl look fine on their own without endless paint added. Also, if it means we can have these figures at affordable prices, then it's a good trade off. More paint would equal more $ and put them up there with Super7 figures in terms of sheer cost.

I like his style very much, I'd love to get him! I also appreciate you bring up what you don't like about him, that's also the idea of the review, for you to tell us of the things we can't fully see on camera or that you notice having him in hand. But even like this, I'd get him!

I'm really liking McFarlane is differentiating the characters you know aside from Scorpion Sub-Zero Liu Kang you know. I'm really hoping they tackle Sonya Blade, Jax etc. hell even the kids like Cassie and Jaqui

In the game, he has a war club on his back that they didn't include. Also one axe should be painted realistically and the other should be clear green, that's how he does it in the game

The way I've come to see it is that Mcfarlane Toys is the same in name only. That's not to say that's a bad thing ,it's just the passage of time and restructuring that has taken place. The first iteration of the company was to have hand sculpted figures and intricate paint apps. Where as today it's digital sculpting and fair paint , but not detail , time consuming paint apps. I believe I read in toy fair magazine years ago that workers in their toy factory were rigorously trained in advanced training in painting.

I ordered the Baraka figure for my brother this Christmas off Amazon and at first they sent me thus Nightwolf figure. When I ordered it again they sent me another Nightwolf figure but this time in a Baraka labeled box. 😑

I wish theyd make figures of the more classic outfits because mk11 does have them as alternate skins but idk if theyd be allowed to or even want to make them. The storm collectibles mk figs look nice but i dont want to pay that much lmao

One of the worst examples of the half assed paint was the Shao Kahn figure, where his skin is the same color as the majority of what he’s wearing. Looks like a figure shipped out before being painted. Shame to sculpt so much detail just to have it be almost invisible because of monochromatic paint.
