Dang, now that is a rare stuff. It's clear the guy is trying, but I feel like he's missing a lot of text from the original, or just simplifying it. Plus, Shao Kahn can easily be mistaken for Shokan... ... wait, is that what inspired Johnny Cage asking Shao Kahn how he is NOT a Shokan in one of his intros in MK11?! Mind. Blown.

yeah, a lot of stuff was lost on the translation, maybe because the display time wasn't enough for a completely translated narration. also in japan Shao Kahn some people pronounce it as ショウカーン(shoukaan), but it's more likely to find it as シャオカーン(shaokaan) too.

It’s ironic, Doom is not banned in Japan but Mortal Kombat is even though both Doom 2016 felt more gory than Mortal Kombat X.
