In shoalin monks, when you do all smoke challenges you unlock mortal kombat 2. Ermac, mileena, and kano are secret characters. By far the best mortal kombat spin off; if they wanted to they can continue the story.

Shaolin Monks had no right to be as good as it is. Midway hadn't made a great game since UMK3, so it shocked me. I absolutely adore it and consider it the best MK of that generation, way better than the 3 fighting games.

My sister and I played Shaolin Monks way more than the other PS2 games. It was a sign that we missed Mortal Kombat 2 (which was a bonus game too). Naturally, we played tf out of MK9 as well.

I've been marathoning all your MK videos, they're very good. The only thing i hope to ask is if you could cut it with the clips of you yelling at the games. Sometimes it feels like they drag the videos a ton, specially when in cases like MK Sub-Zero where most of the vid is clips of it.

Never knew you could just dangle from the cliff side if you're by it in time on level 2 Boss fight for MKM Subzero. My cousin told me to keep running left by the edge but not fall. I had invincibility mode on and sometimes skipped levels just so I could record the soundtrack on VHS and from there on cassette. I did this with many games back then.

I hated the Sub-Zero game & never went past the first half of the first stage. Lol! Thank GOD we had home rental places back then! That’s how we all played MOST games. I actually didn’t own very many. I just rented them, kept them a couple extra days, beat it, took it back & paid the $5 late fee (which is like *$15* now. lol! But, still worth it. I paid $17 (was only $2.50 to rent it for 3 Days & 2 nights) and beat & got to experience so many games this way!! Also…when you said, “Awesome! It’s just a fucking dead end!” My first thought (well…let’s be real. I spoke to my 4K TV screen, sitting here alone, with my cat, on Christmas morning. Lol!), “Huh! Guess you never played any METROID games! lol! It’s alright. I’m almost 42-years old, & *I* didn’t even play them till 3 years ago.” Granted…I’m rare, as it seems MOST serious gamers LOVE the Metroid series, & especially the NES, SNES, & now Dread (it IS fantastic. I might go back and play it again…and I don’t DO that, with games. I guess, to bring this full-circle, that comes from growing up poor & only being able to rent the game. But, we had different mindsets back then. I was actually going to add to the Sub-Zero part of the discussion, as well. Mindset. I will make a forget comment, for that, so it doesn’t get buried)

The 3rd one was great. It has mortal Kombat 2 arcade in it too. You have to do some bs to unlock it. I had to look online because you will never realize how to get it. Old school bs stuff. And those a vs mode in the normal game too. It was a fun adventure beat them up mortal Kombat game. If you like this one..check out the BOR mortal Kombat fan game & some mugen ones too.

The first game was old school hard. Here's some bs you will never find out. Some point n click bs in this game. You will need the patience of a saint with trial & error to beat it. If you master the horrible controls; then yeah it's fun. I enjoyed it after dying a 1,000 deaths 😂 because it's one of those games where you will die a 1,000...no joke

The enemies can't block or dodge anything at all. Just punch them bro 😅 who needs a plain when i have fist ᕙ⁠(⁠☉⁠ਊ⁠☉⁠)⁠ᕗ I loved the opening song but this game was so boring when i played it.
