In case anyone was confused on Raiden saying "They care only for what is in your heart, Not whom your heart desires." It's implied that Kung Jin was afraid that they would not accept him because he is attracted to men. Raiden simply tells Jin that they'll accept him no matter what and that they only want the best for him.

​@@pieck5460 yeah. Alot of media likes to make a gay persons sexuality the center of attention which is why it doesn't do well most of the time. Kung Jin was done well which is why I see quite a few of fans that want to see him return either as a base roster character or a dlc in the games.

Fun fact about Kotal Khan that’s not really mentioned in the story: he spent time in Earthrealm when he was younger, and came to be worshipped by the Aztec civilisation as a god, as his own peoples culture - the Oshtek - was similar to thiers (you can see he has aztec-style apparel as does his soldiers) It’s also why Rain calls Kotal “Buluc” as that was his name to the Aztecs.

In those it shows Goro’s attempt to sieze control of Outworld after Kotal becomes Khan, and during the siege of the imperial city, Kotal duels Goro and rips off all 4 of his arms which ends the battle…after Kano fucking detonated a nuclear warhead on top of the Shokan army - no I did not stutter, Kano literally sold Kotal a nuke to use against Goro’s army. Also after all that, the Shokan fight to decide thier next ruler and Sheeva beats Kintaro and other Shokan which is how she becomes Queen Sheeva.

Not exactly that, Sub Zero in his Cyborg body apparently had his correct state of mind when Quan Chi resurrected him, so he literally blew up his body and reformed it to have complete control of his body and mind. (And Sub Zero was conscious through that WHOLE process.)

I haven't watched the video yet but if you're wondering why Sub-Zero isn't a cyborg anymore, it's because there's a prequel comic to this game and in the comic, Quan Chi reverses the Cybernetics (he didn't like it), and made him into a revenant instead.

To truly understand the story of MKX, the player has to read the Mortal Kombat X comic book, which is a prequel to the game. It explains a lot of things, like how Mileena found Shinnok's amulet. There are many things that are started and explained there.

Kenshi was only a DLC Character in MK9 so he wasn't part of that story. Now some DLC in this and MK11 do have parts in the main story mode.

I mean, if you want to see the fights, you can always watch the full playthrough, but it'll add more runtime to your reactions:) Also, you're wondering how certain characters can be beaten so easily such as Kung Jin vs Kotal Khan. It's a video game not a movie. Obviously in a movie Kotal would whoop Jin's ass. Here if Kotal defeated Jin you as the player would have to restart the fight until he defeated Kotal. I feel like you're seeing this VIDEO GAME through a MOVIE perspective.

This is pretty solid storytelling for a Mortal Kombat game. I might be a bit biased though, the reboot feels targeted at fans who dropped out after around MK3, which I am definitely one of. Still, the mix of nostalgia and new twists / developments in this series is pretty entertaining. Loving the reactions

9, X, and II are gold when it comes to the story mode. I watched the full cutscene 3 times and still enjoy each time. It gives so much detail and back story to the games and characters Wish the movies were based off this just do this alexact same thing on big screen 9 loved how Sindel came n destroyed the whole hero squad and then them all coming back. 10 added more characters improving on backstories and bringing some of good guys back 11 you will see pure gold material

Fujin is the wind god like Raiden is the lightning god. He was introduced in MK4 this is also his first appearance since being introduced in 4. Kenji I believe first showed up in Deadly Alliance.

Cassie and her team aren't children they are all in there 20s, Jin might even be 30 though we don't have exact ages other than Cassie and Jacqui are 25 in this game.
