@@eem2wavy133 Yeah because after all the supernatural stuff the boss does, the one logical thing of the weight of the sword affecting the swing speed is what makes it bad. You're basically asking the boss to swing it around as if it was a mere paperweight.

Zera Ora yes that’s exactly what I’m asking for at least the speed of the swing itself. There are other ways to sell weight like startup or the end animation but the swing itself should be a lot faster. This is what games like darksouls did. The speed of this boss is honestly wayyyy to slow for me and that’s only because the swings itself are slow. Like I said before realism is not always good.

Besides, having a detail like this emphasizes the weight and power of the weapon when held in the players hand. Personally it would make a player like myself more engaged if that's the kind it realism or detail it has.

thats literally just dark souls then. the difference between dark souls and bloodborne is that bloodborne is faster paced and favors aggressive gameplay, whereas dark souls is a bit slower and tactical, but still keeps you on your toes. this game would be a beautiful compliment to the 2, even slower than dark souls and maybe more tactical the animations dont look right a 1.25x speed anyway bc the animations seem to be inspired by real life HEMA sparring. at least this fight does, anyway.

I need to do a replay of Mortal Shell. There are aspects of it that feel unfinished and kinda meh, but this game captivated me with its weapon animations and the unique hardening mechanic. I loved that basically just giving you a button to make you invincible that doesn't interrupt what you're doing it makes you play more tactically and aggressively.
