Yes, and so did The Munsters. And The Beverly Hill Billies. And The Bradys. The Cleavers. The Partridge Family. The Lawrences (from Gidget). The Cunninghams. Even the Castaways on Gilligan's Island supported each other. TV families were all about support and understanding because things were changing at that time, and not for the better. Many creatives at the time were aware of this and showing how families could be was helpful to many people. Including young people and children who were having a hard time and/or needed advice. This is why these shows, and Mr Rogers' Neighborhood, Sesame Street, and those kinds of shows were extremely important

@@LaraKeller-su3zc I'm just so sorry you had to go through the things you went through. In a perfect world, you would have had a family like The Bradys. Or The Cleavers or Cunninghams because children not only need, but deserve to be cherished, understood, and just plain loved. Unfortunately, too many people perpetrate their own bad experiences upon their own children without having fixed themselves Before bringing kids into their lives. There's hope this issue can be fixed, but sadly, it can't undo things that have already happened. The most we can do is help people Now to be a Brady or an Adams in the future. @@dromie5059or it was a level of dedication that makes the bitty steps make sense. I mean…… in the other iterations I’ve seen it seems the dress is simply a lot more flowing in the bottom so they aren’t really taking small steps. An illusion of the dress. You can tell with Anjelica houston and kathrine in the new show. They both are taking ALMOST full strides. In the dance scene in family values you see her taking small steps the way Carolyn does here. So possibly they truly did sew her in

Gomez was interested in Morticias hobbies and always listened when Morticia talked about her worries about the kids or something in general. He never tried to change Morticia, just highlighted things about her he liked the most. And Morticia was happy to give him that, bc she felt truly seen. Gomez never dissed other women for not meeting his standards, he was just happy to have Morticia and did everything so she can be herself.

To many disorders share symptoms with Autism. Only experts can diagnose and second opinion needed. This comment not against autism but normal folk insisting on autism they harming others with same symptoms different disorders. One prominent person who was wrongly diagnosed with autism actually had brain tumor found in autopsy. Tagus full physical examination needed with diagnosing people. It is fine to say they remind me of my autism they need to look into full diagnosis to see what they have it might be autism but it could be. Wednesday lives in a very different culture and thus has adapted a very different personality this does not mean she autistic. She handles high input distracting problems well and thus if autism it light. Most characters people guess currently as autistic actually way more likely to be ADHD as folk with it can shine in high stress chaos like fighting because it stimulates but can resemble Autism in normal life because excitement missing and coping strategies that resemble other disorders.

@Wandervenn
@Wandervenn 4 ай бұрын
@@Meli_monster Exactly. They were morbidly weird, but that weirdness was their normal and they were confused by everyone else. But where the "normal" people feared or looked down on them, the Addams always treated them kindly. I know some of that is the santitary nature of tv at the time, but it was a breath of fresh air. As you said, even the 90's movies the family were largely kind people. Wednesday was sharp and not a pushover in the way her parents were with their kindness, but she wasnt (usually) needlessly cruel. She was sarcastic and dryly witty, but not hateful. One of my favorite OG moments is when Mr. Addams is asked why he hasnt put the kids in school and he's confused because why have kids if you dont want to spend time with them. Which I think is a good summation of the core family value they had. They all liked and respected one another.

I dunno, Christina Ricci really nailed it as Wednesday. And Raul Julia (RIP) as Gomez Addams (RIP?)? I mean, my god! Also, Festus was the second character after Doc Brown I'd seen Christopher Lloyd play, and I couldn't believe they were the same man! Ugh, so good!!

She didn't realize that the role modeling of her relationship with Gomez was the best advice ever. Gomez showed Wednesday how a man should honor and appreciate his lady. Kids see this. How dad treats mom matters more than ever. Get you a man who loves you like Gomez loved Mortocia and the whole family thrives.

Dude, this Addams Family show is SO GOOD!!!!! i think it's just the best representation of these characters. It's just so flipping good, it makes you feel good while you watch it, it's fun, it's not trying to be edgy, it's just... GOOD.
