I put a bunch of these lockboxes in boiling water with baking soda 10 min later all paint and dirt were gone, jus gotta get new springs, is there a conversion where u can use a knob on one side and the key on the other to lock the door

Great video thanks , 25 year old mobile home both locks playing up have to manually push the bolt back in at times , am Ireland think it a 65 mm mortice eurosash lock will same size spring do me you think?

Where to get new keys?

Those two keys you buy work but they’re too thin to operate like it was designed to do. The proper key will not pass all the way through the locking system.

I moved into a room in an 1896 house with a mortise lock. The top spring lock seems to work fine, but it appears the deadbolt has been painted over! I’m scared to take it apart tho lol

They're a very simple system, if you have it out of the mortise you just need to remove the one screw. 👍👍🍻🍻🍻

They are super simple. I have some apart right now just fixing them up. I left the doors outside in a shed and they got a little went. Decided to paint and clean up handles. You can definitely do it if I can.
