agreed. nd same. and I also live way out in the wood in a hay field surrounded by thick forest which is actually a well known area for being haunted( like 200ft from a haunted forest and a haunted road called hell hollow) and I always decide to watch this stuff at night and 2 of my blinds slits are broken and I'm on the first floor facing the haunted road. my room is actually the closest room to it, anyways I always end up feeling somebody watching me through the blinds slit. or think I see somebody peeking through it in the corner of my eye, and when I look to see if I see anybody I always feel like I see somebody's head rapidly swing around the side of the window as if to hide. and I've been forgetting to lock that window but then I'm too scared to get up and lock it 😅😅

I'm a Native North Carolinian, and you couldn't pay me enough to stay out in our mountains or swamps over night... Too many unexplained happenings have gone on in our history here for me to fall asleep out in the open like that. There's also a lot of supernatural happenings that have been documented for hundreds of years and if I go hiking or anything like that I always have tobacco and sage ashes on me. Always carry a gun. 🌒🌕🌘

@@allisonbarnett5055 Interesting. I was born and raised in NC- living in SC now- and only ever had one weird thing happen to me while I lived there. I have heard some stories though…
@allisonbarnett505510 ай бұрын
@@elleumm only one weird thing... Damn sis! You got off easy!!! LoL 😂 I used to spend my summers as a child going down to Calabash NC to work in multiple restaurants (all family owned-if you like Calabash style seafood and any of the restaurants there that's all my family) and ive had some pretty scary things happen to me on the coastlines of NC and SC. Then I'd go to the mountains in the fall (Cherokee NC) to visit the rest of my family (we're native as well Lumbee/Eastern band of Cherokee) and those smokey mountains suck you in and I've had a lot of experiences up there as well. NC is in my blood, from the people's that were originally here and the ones who came, if you think about all the history and mixing of cultures it makes sense.
@elleumm10 ай бұрын
@@allisonbarnett5055 that’s super cool, thanks for sharing. I’ve had one thing happen to me in SC since I moved here. I was outside in the middle of the night with my dog, and this little girl called for my dog saying “Buddy!” It’s not his name, but we do call him that. Anyway, there was no one actually there. He and I both looked up, and he actually got up and went to the place where I had just heard her voice coming from. Basically, I was sitting there staring at him after he and I both heard it, and I watched him get up and walk to where she should have been to look for her. That’s one I hold on to, because the dog obviously heard it too. I didn’t direct him in any way, and he was laying down, half asleep, until she called him. I also had a very clear line of sight to where the voice was- there’s no way it could have been a person, an animal, etc. because there was just nothing there and nowhere to hide. Shudder. The dog didn’t growl or raise his hackles though, so I guess whatever it was wasn’t a threat. Still less disturbing than a lot of these camping stories though lol.

Hi, my names Greg. In 2013 I went backpacking on the AT. I was about half way through my hike when I spotted a bear ahead of me on the trail, I freaked out, ran into the woods to try and escape. This ended up being the worst thing I could have done as I got lost. After a few nights trying to find my way back I became aware I was being followed, it started with branches snapping and noises outside my tent at night, and then I started to see figures hiding behind trees, one moment I was walking along, and the next I blacked out. I woke up surrounded by animalistic wild people hunched around a campfire.. it turns out they chopped off and were eating my leg… I managed to escape by hopping 74 miles, and now everyone where I live calls me one leg Greg

That uhaul camping story has to be the silliest thing I've ever heard. It's almost too stupid to be made up. Like either the person is just dumb and actually thought camping in a box truck is a good idea, or has never actually seen or been near a uhaul truck. "Hey I've got a good idea. Let's sleep in a box trailer that we can't open from the inside if someone decides to lock us in." Seriously is one of those things that is too stupid to be fake. No one would ever lie about doing something that stupid. Also I don't find anything particularly scary about some moron shooting himself while drunk and being an idiot with a gun. Dudes friends should have taken the gun from him after the first time he pointed it at himself.

The Worst camping experience. My Girl and I were in Wilderness way off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Beautiful fun. We pitched the tent on the side of a mountain. Everything was great UNTIL... We woke to the Worst Sounds I've ever heard. It took me a few minutes to even understand what was going on. Across the valley on the mountainside next to us was a WAR happenning between a gang of Coyotes and a flock of Turkeys. Worst Insane Sounds that lasted for an hour. Wish I could have recorded that ( before cell phones). Demons from Hell couldn't match that. Creeps me out just remembering that. Anyone else heard this too?

these always remind me of the fact i live like 200 feet from a very haunted road where i once found a satanic worship circle with an upside down pentagram drawn in deer blood and in the center there were candles all melted on it and a decapatated deer head in the center on a upside down cross with a sharpened top ans intestines draped over the head and the cross. and there was a blood trail that started across the road in the dirt parking spot by the pond. and appeared liek something bloody was dragged across the road to the satanic worshipping spot. and i didnt believe that people worshipped satan to let loose demons and evil sperits down there til i saw that. not to mention that was like 75 feet away from a witches grave thst is marked with a stone with numbers engraved. but years ago they moved her body because of opl defiling her grave. her name was Maud Taylor. this is a 100% true story, NO JOKE! scared the heck out of me! not to mention you always get a very creepy feeling when going through there by yourself, and its a seasonal very narrow road that they close off with a gate from between december 1st and 31st and open it april 1st. just to paint the picture, and theres a large pond with a man made waterfall halfway through
