"The Game of Thrones whiskey. Tastes great for the first 90% then falls apart at the end."

I’ve only tried the 16 f&f and 15g&m which I both enjoyed though vastly different. Any similarity to the GOT release? I’m imagining the elegant nose of the 16 with the cognac likeness of the 15 by the video.

Thank You for the review. This is not available in Australia unfortunately. Had to get mine from the UK. Very expensive, but I now have the set. I'll leave it unopened and drink my Mortlach 12.

@@phatt180 Thanks for that , I saw that this week. Damn Diageo! I paid $360AUD per bottle as an import now they decided to release them in Australia and are $220 AUD each. I lost $140AUD per bottle because I trusted their PR people.Never again.

Great review guys. I love a spicy, peppery whiskey so I’ll be on the lookout for this one.

With a name like Six Kingdoms they should have chosen the Iron Throne as the illustration instead of the 3 eyed raven.

Which part of Scotland are you two from? Not heard this accent before.

They are from Germany, so it's a German (Bavarian) accent 😉

They’re German. But they review plenty of Scotch whisky.

Will this collection be valuable in like 20 years?
@MrBiznissam3 жыл бұрын
fingers crossed
@makaan6993 жыл бұрын
I wonder that as well. The failure that the last season was probably won't help though, and when the show is forgotten, hard to see people getting crazy about that collection. But the Lagavulin might increase in price I'd say, it's a famous brand with an age statement that sells very well. Difficult to say about the whole collection.
@MrBiznissam3 жыл бұрын
I might buy the collection tomorrow for 525€. That includes all 9bottles.. not sure if I'll drink some of keep them all as investment

I've avoided the game of thrones releases because it seems like just more marketing. This one I may try. I like Mortlach.
@Chris-eo5zs5 жыл бұрын
Mark, no doubt it's been a bit of a gimmicky marketing campaign, but in all honesty, some of them are really really good. Clynelish and Talisker especially.
@markprice16145 жыл бұрын
@@Chris-eo5zs well I'm a stranger to Clynellish but I do love Talisker. Just ordered the Mortlach...wow pricey! $185usd Recently found and picked up a Gordon and Macphails 25yo Mortlach. Really great juice
@Chris-eo5zs5 жыл бұрын
@@markprice1614 Yes, this is certainly a pricey release but going by this review at least Mortlach is back to its best. Which is great considering it's my favourite distillery! Definitely try the Clynelish, especially if you've never tried anything from the distillery (I can imagine it being a difficult one to find in the USA), you won't be dissappointed.
@markprice16145 жыл бұрын
@@Chris-eo5zs I will try a Clynelish release on your recommendation. Any particular age or finish I should look for?
@Chris-eo5zs5 жыл бұрын
@@markprice1614 The base 14 year old is imo the best whisky you will find for £40. That said, the GoT is every bit as good, albeit a shade more expensive. The only other regularly produced one I'm aware of is the Distillery Special, which is only available from the distillery shop. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself over here, but I wouldn't make a trip all the way to Scotland for one distillery tour (even though it's a very good one)!
