The GVW on the truck is most likely a lot of states considered them to be commercial vehicles. Dad had a 68 F150 as he was a carpenter and I remember him having to go through the kabuki theater of running it over the roadside truck scales here in Illinois back in the 70s and even had to go through commercial vehicle safety inspections even if it was a daily driver. Think the requirement to pull a regular sized pick up over the scales was gotten rid of some time in the late 70s and the safety inspections went away in the late 80s when pick ups became regular daily drivers that once in a great while carried something bulkier than the weekly groceries because that was done by the time I got my Ranger in 90.

The comment about the wrecker exhaust got me thinking. You. used to see some of them old 1 ton gasser wreckers that had stacks. I’m not a big fan of gassers with stacks, but in the case of a wrecker it serves a purpose. I will say that I have a 1954 Ford F 600 cab and chassis that I think might possibly maybe probably get a set of stacks with tink tinks😂 I will admit though small, a 239 y block sounds pretty mean with no manifolds. For the record that wrecker is mint👌

36:56 For some unfathomable reason, the company I retired from was a customer of Lawson Products which, by the way, was about 20 to 40% more expensive than buying the same product locally. Everything that came in a plastic baggie had one of those silly inserts in the bag. I could never figure out how a brass fitting that got installed on, for example, a skid steer could cause reproductive harm particularly to the many millenials we had working there when most were, for the most part, walking erections. 🤔😂😂

I do enjoy that Mortske takes shots at every brand, not just one of them. I wonder though, if you had were to build a truck with any parts that were available between 1965 and 1975, what would the combo be? Which chassis, engine, trans, axles and body? Mix and match of anything available then. Enjoying the "interruption" Mortske Minute segments too. It's fun getting some history and info. If people don't like it, it's easy to skip past.

I am from Ca and moved to NM and My Father In Law was a workers comp lawyer who worked with injured workers exposed to chemicals in the workplace. For example Ethel Bromide used to be injected in to the soil while growing strawberries ,The small amount that got in our food would not hurt you but if you were the guy injecting it in to the soil you were at risk . Every one saw Erin Brockovich or has driven thru Hinkley Ca . In Ca there is a system for the citizens to pass their own laws called the proposition system . I voted for prop 65 so you can blame me if you want .I voted for it because they were spraying poison over LA to kill the medfly and there was an 11% rise in cases of children with autism in the area where it was sprayed. Someone did the math and decided that saving the citrus industry was worth a few children being hurt forever. We got a notice that told us to stay indoors but the city smelled for weeks after that and white flies almost destroyed our trees when the natural balance was disturbed .My Father in Law the Lawyer is very cynical and he thinks the industry Lawyers think that if you put a sticker on every thing that it kind of gives the companies a "get out of jail free card" in that they can say "hay you knew our product might have issues and you chose to use them anyway".
