@ johnnymitch74: First, he starts with a bass riff that circles around Eb. Then he adds an Gb major7, so that results into an Eb minor7, while he moves the Gb major 7 a whole note higher to an Ab major 7, then back. Then he transposes the whole thing to Gb.

I think Mos Def has an interesting voice. Honestly, I don't think you have to be good at singing to be a good singer. Yeah, that doesn't make any sense, but when people start to care about how good of a singer someone is I think the signing in general loses its meaning. Just my opinion, not explained very well.
