Walk through the military equipment collection at the Victory Museum in Moscow on June 12, The Day of Russia, with numerous tanks, airplanes, boats and artillery, as well as many outdoor exhibits. Equipment includes European, American and Russian equipment.
Music in the background is popular Russian music from the time of WWII.
The museum is located at Park Pobedy, or Victory Park in Moscow and includes a large indoor display, as well.
The struggle against Germany in WWII was the bloodiest in Soviet Union history. An estimated 15 million civilians died, 11 million soldiers, and a 3-year blockade of Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) starved a million people. The Soviet Union bore the brunt of German aggression. Russian soldiers held on and Moscow and St. Petersburg never fell. Sixty percent of households lost someone in the war. Even 80 years later the struggle is remembered solemnly as the great patriotic war for survival.
The Germans suffered three-quarters of their wartime losses fighting the Red Army.
The Victory Museum in Moscow is the largest museum of military history in the Russian Federation. The museum hosts the largest collection of World War II military equipment in Europe.

Thank you for the excellent video! This is a rare glimpse (for those of us in the West) of professionally restored equipment used in the Great Patriotic War and later conflicts. Good camera work too. Thanks again, Wright Flyer, USAF (1968-1972)

Very nice video of those great exhibits. Thanks to you for the video and you tube for recommending the video. Going through I was like wow, then it stepped up and then stepped up again. I love the look of the Russian jets, the edginess, they aren't glinting like you'd see maybe, British or American jets, (no disrespect) all fabulous planes. But those jets look like they in role and ready, just pull the covers off and see what fete brings. A truly world beating exhibition of.........Vehicles of Destruction. 👍 ❤ Peace from England, may it be your pillow at night❤

Thanks for the video, but I would describe what is seen as the largest incomplete collection of military equipment. Although still enjoyable to watch, thanks!

And it seems they're smart enough to have the really good old tanks inside that indoor area 🙂 can't find current footage of the old tiger 1 that supposedly went there from kubinka.

Are all tanks still in the open air? Better to be capt inside safe from the elements i think. Everything should be preserved well!

It seems like an awesome museum but I find it to be a little bit of a shame that these relics are being allowed exposure to the elements

Towards the end of the exhibit people brought their personal items to show and share. Many hands on and educational. There is a high muslim population in Russia, so there is some appreciation for people and customs in the middle east. Some of these folks are active in re-enactments.

Having been there I would concure that the museum is well worth visiting. Even if the standard of preservation of many of the objects is not always of a high or good standard. Perhaps because they are left out in all weathers?

It is an outdoor museum, you can get up close and touch some of the exhibits. Maybe someone can recommend you the indoor highly polished exhibits elsewhere.

The music really detracts from the presentation. I believe it would be much better with a non-vocal score. Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich, perhaps even Wagner's Götterdämmerung.

Well, I spent a long time looking for Russian music from WWII, most of which most have not heard. I think it reflects the moods of the time, struggle, patriotism, love of home and nostalgia for the peaceful times. I, too, love the classics, but bear with me this time :) Just turn down the volume!

Interesting sidenote: My channel is not monetized, but because there are copyrighted songs on this video KZbin monetized it and the proceeds go to the music licensees recognized by KZbin.
