Try the peddler it is the best steak and salad bar in the mountain. You may have to sit in the bar area to get in you just have to wait for someone to come out and you can get a seat but it is well worth it!

I live in Middle TN, found out Gatlinburg has a restaurant we used to have here called The Peddler. We made a zip trip a few weeks ago just to go. They have the best salad bar and the prime rib absolutely melted in your mouth. Expensive but oh so worth it... I would argue that the Peddler has the best steak....

….and the last time we went to the mountains we drove to Cades Cove to try to see a bear…. No luck. Went to the Peddler to eat and when we went to the car, there was a bear in the parking lot!

Your food at The Alamo looked so good that you convinced me to give it another try! We went there during a trip to Pigeon Forge at the start of the pandemic, and the food was honestly not great. Maybe staffing issues or something due to the start of the pandemic, I'm not sure, but I'm willing to try again because your food looked delicious! Also, we did that Jurassic river boat ride during that same trip and we agree with Titus - it needs some updating. Not very exciting lol. A lot of the props didn't even work during our visit and it was very expensive...

The Steak at the Alamo is the best steak I have ever in my life had. 🤤. We were in y’all’s neck of the woods after singing in the smokies this weekend so finally were able to visit Rib Country. Fantastic brisket and slaw!!

A trip to the Smokies is always a good time with good food! I am glad ya'll tried the Alamo. The original was burned during the awful fire a few years ago. We were so worried that they may not rebuild...and so glad they did! It's one of our favorites! We are all so lucky that we live within a distance that we can up and go most any time. I have done several trips with the girlfriends just to shop one day and back. What is 3 hours, both ways, when it comes to shopping? lol. Worn out, but worth it! lol.
