MOST Accurate 10/22 from Ruger

The barrel can be found at Midwayusa for $100. Which I am using on a build with a Brownell reciver and bolt, also using a $70 bx trigger off of ebay and Hoge om stock. You can get a free hoge stock, depending on which receiver option you choose from Brownell. All in all for just under $500 you can build a decent 10/22 as of this posting if you do a little shopping around and have a few spare parts laying around.

Yep! Just depends on what you're intent is...this was setup for factory competition so it had to be a complete gun all from Ruger

Yes they will shoot well, I have one of the first models, but you can not free float the barrel, must have forward pressure or the action will bend

How do you find it? I scoured the Ruger site and I can't find any 10/22 with a 20" barrel. Do you have the model number?

From what I found there's a few variations of this rifle and different stock colors....31141, 31142, 31156 very tough to find cause they're usually out of stock everywhere

Any suggestions for off the shelf ammo that works well in summer heat and humidity? None of my local stores stock match ammo and like you I hate paying for shipping!

Hopefully you can find something, I would say european ammo if possible or try Aguila Super extra standard velocity....

I’ve tried the aguila however cci sv shoots better. I found the fiocchi also shoots pretty good too.

I've been a subscriber for about 4 years. Anyone that watches your videos for a little while will know that you are completely honest in your reviews and shooting. Nothing is staged and nothing is based on BS. Don't let the trolls get to you. Competition is far more stressful than people think it is. I shot competition pistol matches for a few years and your scores in practice with no pressure (and no hot brass hitting you from the next guy) are always more consistent and better than during a competition Which ammo have you found to be the least finicky when it comes to heat/cold and or humidity? Do you see a difference between a semiauto like a 10/22 and a bolt action like my Tikka T1X in as far as the ammo being more or less sensitive to heat/cold and or humidity?

CCI loves cold winter months and only certain days of the summer when it's not too dry or humid...Lapua Center X seems pretty consistent throughout but pricey if you don't shoot competitively, the Norma tac 22 seems to be sensitive too...yea the Tikka might have an edge depending on the weather and ammo but I found out something else about this 1022 that I'll probably make another video on cause I'm sure it didn't help during competition and yea competition versus your home range or free time shooting is definitely a different ball game for sure

You do you, but…… and this coming from a gunsmith, you are NOT to shoot singers in a match chamber. You are ruining your barrel. A Stingers has a longer case than a standard LR. So you are jamming that case up into the rifling. I do r care what groups you are getting you are shortening the life of that barrel very quickly. Find another ammo.

I shoot standard velocity not stingers...you're right stingers shouldn't be shot match or target chambers as it says that in the Ruger manual as well
