If you use QMK Firmware's source code, you can enable "RAW HID", and allow for two way communication. But you'd have to program something on the host system, to read the status of whatever apps you want notifications from. You can look at the zeal keyboards for how to do this.

Every album has almost like 500-1000 pictures and there are atleast 60 albums on my fb page. Do you know someone who can do that. I know there must be a code or something which you people in your field might be knowing or if you can ask someone about it who could help me. Thanks for the video! How are the Kailh speed switches for coding? Seems like they are designed for gaming - wondering if the difference in travel distance is challenging to switch to and from vs mx switches
@learncodeacademy6 жыл бұрын
I put in a good week straight coding on them and, for me, they're my favorite ones yet! They do have a little more travel, but they're also a little lighter in regards to actuation pressure, so I think what makes me like them is you feel like you're accomplishing more with each keystroke without it feeling fatiguing. I tend to type between 80-100wpm when coding and don't notice any speed problems with travel distance.

Too much cross over? I'm not sure what you mean here. But it's actually the opposite. Yes, there is a learning curve, but .... I have a dozen different keyboards, and the ergodox is by far my favorite of the lot. I actually type much faster on it, than i did with a normal keyboard. Additionally, it's helped with cubital tunnel syndrome for me (not carpal, different part of the hand). I would recommend finding a keyboard meetup, and see if you can use one for a bit. After research, I come to conclusion the keyboard product looks great, with that said pricing doesn't justify it at all.see "Razer Tartatus V2" is pretty much the left part of the keyboard and basically same functionality* as ergo's except you can change the switches?, they both most likely made in china though Ergodox hasn't come out with the right vendors. Razers = $79 Is common sense IF there was a right keyboard then pricing would be same but to be generous and let's even out to $200(pair). while the ergodox is average pricing ~$350 ???? just how much profit are they making? wow!
@piplup102038545 жыл бұрын
I would have to agree. I really like the idea of a split keyboard and the ergonomics of this keyboard I really like. I enjoy the layout plus the ability to program the keys what I don't like is the price. I feel its absurd. Over 350 is a really hard sale. I don't think its out of the real of in which people will pay but I would like it more around the 250 range. I am looking at this versus the Kinesis freestyle and that keyboard is a lot cheaper and I don't know what the differences are that would make this board a hundred or more dollars worth it over the Kinesis

@@piplup10203854 I called razer to see if they make a right-hand version of the tartarus and they told me to keep on checking the site...🤞 so in the meantime, I got me the ADESSO tru-form 150, and replaced my Microsoft 4000. the adesso is not the greatest, but it's ergonomic, backlighting and it comes with all functional keys.which is what I need for coding the drawback is that is not as responsive as mechanicals... ps adessos was only $40... I don't think Ergodox realize the user has to gamble to get used to this keyboard, and if it was me I would probably have to buy me an external numeric keys. Did you know that if you was to return the ergodox you would have to return it to Taiwan and you have to pay for the whole transit...😒

@@IvanRosaT A right handed Razer Tartarus would be something I would look into :D and Adesso? I will check that out :D I completely agree with you and I saw that! The return policy is quite concerning if not so a deal breaker cause having to fork the whole transit yourself will cost a ton and that is if it makes it back within the very short 30 day return policy that is not 30 days after you receive it. I do not like that considering how expensive it is with no guarantee that it will work.

Come on dude. Pros use blank key caps. This thing is so programmable and you have to touch type so what's the point in having labelled key caps at all let alone back lit. Also tent that right up with the 3D printed tenting kit, the legs are very limited, the wings are ergonomically useless. The way you have it setup high at the back with wrist rests at the front is totally wrong. If you don't have the 3D printed tent kid, at least make the front high, and the middle high and the back low, this will instantly feel better. The best is almost having the halves vertical though. Be a man bro, go blank. I did. Kailh Silver FTW. You can also swap out the switches yourself very easily, I presume your other Ergodox EZ has soldered switches (earlier models did)?
