I have oval/oblong face shape. My beard is thin and patchy. After years of trying to make it work I've just accepted clean shaven and goatees are my best options.

I guess my face is oval and have 9" long goatie due to practically nothing on the sides and think it's long enough now. Head skinned back n sides with a 14" pony tail. I like this style and others say it suits me but due to it being warm I'm going through my usual summer "I wanna cut it all off" scenario 🤔I'll just persevere as summer heat never lasts long in Northumberland, UK 🤣 Nice vlog Trav, thank you 😃👍

Hey man, I'm a long time fan and love the channel. You've given me so many helpful beard and long hair tips over the years and I really can't thank you enough. So please know what I'm about to say comes from a place of love and respect. The fact that your videos truly doesn't even start until about half way through the video is pretty wild. I think 5:28 is when you're done with both the intro and advertisement to the video. I love that you have ads, seriously make your bag and provide for your family. However as a viewer for basically half of the video to be wasted time is pretty rough. Again, thank you for everything you've done and I look forward to future content, but in a humble viewers opinion I'd much prefer to watch what the video topic is actually about for at least the majority of the video. Thank you.

Why should there be promotions at all? I forgive right wing political commentators for shilling products because KZbin demonitizes their channels, but I doubt Trav White's videos are being demonitized. We are already paying this guy by watching KZbin's ads or paying for KZbin premium. Why the hell am I paying for KZbin Premium if content creators still pepper their videos with time wasting promotions?
@graysenm1320

@@OceanGateEngineer4Hire trust me I feel the frustration. I also pay for KZbin premium to still get slapped in the face with ads and it's pretty annoying. I just wish creators would follow these simple rules when it comes to ads; 1- The ad shouldn't be more than 10% of the duration of the video. 2- Give us timestamps to quickly skip. 3- The video needs to feel organic. I like Trav and his channel, but it feels like I'm watching Alpha M sometimes. Alpha M clearly gets ad deals first then comes up with a quick and easy video idea to be able to capitalize on some easy money.

I will do my best to reply to both of your concerns. Whenever I have a sponsor on the channel, I always do the due diligence to make sure that the brand/product is high quality, something that I actually use, has great customer service, provides a real solution for you, and is related to the topic somehow. That's why you'll see the same brands over and over rather than many different ones because I'm not just chasing a bag. If this is done correctly, the ad should provide as much value to you as the rest of the video. Obviously, you can have your opinion on whether I do a good job of that or not. If you have tips on how to make it feel more organic, please share. I'm always open to making the ads feel more valuable and less sponsored. But whenever I watch another creator that I trust, who does this well, I am happy to have discovered a new tool I can use, whether I buy immediately or not. I never felt that that watch time was wasted. Especially if I trust their information. I also try to lead out the gate with value so it doesn't feel like an "intro" forever. Which I tried to do in this video by telling you how to find your face shape quickly. Secondly, a couple things non-creators should also be aware of. Unless you have an AdSense account, it's hard to know how much money a channel makes from "views" alone. Men's grooming channels earn between $3-$5 per 1k views. This metric is called the RPM. Finance and Real Estate channels have an $8-$12 RPM because KZbin can charge companies in that industry more. But that means if I have a video that gets 10,000 views (which is average for a channel my size, sometimes more, sometimes less), I make $30. Unless my videos get 1M+ views every time I upload, earning a livable wage for my family from Adsense alone is incredibly difficult. Adsense brings in less than $1k per month for me. That's barely anything if you're single. Sponsors help cover that cost. But even still, sponsors also look at click rates, views, and engagement and will pay more or less depending on your channel views. So, even with Adsense + Sponsors, I still need a full-time job to support my wife and two kids. And trust me, we are not living in luxury. We live comfortably but frugally. So, I'm all for making the sponsor slots more digestible, more organic, or better, but my hope is that you trust me enough to know that I'm not spewing B.S. brands just to make some $$$. I actually use the product, love the product, and would recommend it to my closest friends and family, which is what I like to view you guys as. I know you're not dumb. You can sniff BS out incredibly easily. I made this channel to help men feel more confident, and I hope that just because something is a sponsored slot, you don't automatically assume "sell out."

@@TravWhiteStyle I really appreciate the response. Haha as some random commentor I totally don't deserve the class act response you gave. I'm not trying to debate you so I'll just drop my opinions here, not speaking for the other guy in the comment thread. I definitely understand and agree that you have quality sponsors. This seems like a totally fine product. I personally have no issues with regards to the quality of the brands you choose to partner with. I get that with views alone it's hard to make a living and provide for a family, I think I said I appreciate that you do ads and want you to make your bag. I'm definitely not calling you a sellout, you're a good dude providing for a family. I guess I'm more or less venting as purely a viewer and not a content creator. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but when I see KZbinrs do ads they're literally getting paid to say "hey this is a good product/brand you should buy this" I don't understand how people will actually go and buy the products. So again, maybe I'm in the minority but as someone who doesn't value being advertised to all the time I never go purchase a product because a KZbinr told me to. I wanted to watch a video about the best beards for your face shape, not learn about some random company selling something I probably won't need for the next 5-10 years assuming my tool doesn't die on me. Thanks for all you do. Maybe I'm just a spoiled guy bitching on the Internet but I do value your content. I just fucking hate ads 😂

I have more of an oval face and I've already been letting my beard grow out for about a year and a half. It has been a matter of figuring out my routine on how to manage it and is down past my armpits with less shedding. I'm letting my hair grow long as well to see whether or not it is worth it.

@@TravWhiteStyle Honestly, some simply don´t have a good base for a great beard, you are one of them. The hair alone simply doesn´t look that well. BUT You have the most beautiful long hair, face, eyes, nose mouth... fantastic so putting all this behind the only thing that isn´t that great, your beard is sad for us. 3day beard max is best for you IMO
