I've been going no shampoo for 6 months and sometimes they get dry, but never oily. I will go back to only cowash I think to avoid dryness

I can relate I had my too a good long length and my sides short cuz I went for the Viking look but on my left side I have a cowlick that drives me nuts so now I’m letting my sides and back grow out and yes it’s awkward cuz my sides stick out but I’m deff seeing it thru the beanie deff helps cuz I’m always fixing or looking at my hair noticing the faults if it’s 6 months or longer I ain’t backing down I got this!

Would applying oil only at night slow down the progress too much? I use black castor oil, and I really don't like feeling and looking so shiny and greasy. For reference I have Keanu Reeves' same beard pattern, I'm trying to fill that gap between the cheek and the mustache so I can sport some awesome mutton chops lol

Tbh if we really think about it, who proposed the idea of hair loss being an extremely traumatic and stressful thing, I mean it's literally normal at some ooint in your life, especially as a guy. And then we have amazing videos like this that are absolutely necessary for lots to see because most are stressing over nothing worth being stressed about.

I bought the heat protectant he uses shown at 5:48. I wish I had looked at the ingredients before I had bought it and used it a few times, because it has isopropyl alcohol, which is very drying for hair. Buyer beware.

Someone should come up with an AI hair app that reads your hair type(s) either by using the camera and take pictures of individual strands, or taking "selfie"🤳 and the AI can determine the type(s). Or both. And then determine what to use that day as different weather conditions can affect your hair day by day. Money making idea.🤑

If it's seriously because MPB isn't a life threatening condition then you might as well never do anything unless it's life threatening.

I didn't have dandruff but my scalp would itch after 2 days. I used medicated anti-fungi shampoo twice weekly for 3 months before going almost-no shampoo. The itching stopped immediately and the oil levels settled down after 2 weeks. I still use the medical shampoo once every 4 weeks. Use minimal amount each time and focus on the scalp. I wash my hair with warm water everyday and that is enough to wash away the daily sweat and excess grease. My hair after wash is not grease free like it was when i used shampoo, but it is soft enough and my scalp feels fresh and clean. I'm ok with my hair looking a little bit oily so over all i'm satisfied with the results.

Grew my hair out for about 2 years and the maintenance in my super humid area has been a nightmare. Gotten sick of it and going to get a short haircut now. Was fun while it lasted tho I agree with the trying it once thing.

I'm letting my hair grow and I'm in an awkward stage. It's not short anymore but it's nog long either. A Lot of people tell me that my hair needs to be shorter again because the way it is now, it doesn't fit me. I'm starting to have seconds thoughts If I want to keep letting it grow out..

Very cool to see the old guys out there defying modern expectations. I’ve been catching long hair jokes for many years. When my hair is short, I receive no unwanted attention. I just blend in with the crowd. Boring! I like being different.
