A century ago a seamstress lived and worked here, hemming dresses and sewing draperies in one of the front bedrooms. Today, a pair of lifelong friends share this restored circa-1917 cottage, set on the periphery of the carefully preserved village of Pinehurst, North Carolina. The town was laid out in the 1890s as a planned resort community, and period homes grand and small still line its picturesque curving streets, as well as more modest dwellings, such as this one. “One part of the village was for the resort workers, with horse stables, blacksmith shops, and simple homes where employees lived and worked, like this one,” says Marilyn Barrett of the house she and Catherine Vrdolyak own and share.

I like the first house but they missed a view of that peticular house, I would have loved to have seen an ariel view of this house. It's a step back in time and looks great including the property. The other homes are fantastic but I see a lot of the fifties and I already did that live and in person.

Very nice. I like the window by the side of the bed. I would put glass in that frame that doesn't allow anyone to see in from the outside. I don't know what the purpose of a "sitting room" is. 🤔

I don’t mind seeing the photos of the place, but how about a walkthrough? It’s hard to put any of this into it’s proper space. The floor plan is great, but being able to see the actual flow of things is better than what you are showing us.

Understatement.....the roof deck exposed to interior! Looks like a warm climate shack.Shoddy finish work too.Trying so hard to be rustic that it’s down right crude cheap. The exterior speaks differently so the interior is a gigantic disappointment

Some may thinking the panning technique is very "artsy," and I'm guessing that the creator of this video is one of those people. I'm not. I'd rather see more of the house and less of the "zoom" in the videos I watch. I also didn't see (no pun intended) the need for close-ups of towels, light fixtures, etc. I did appreciate the fact that I didn't have to listen to someone moderating, though. Floor plans for each of the places would have been welcome. Just my opinion. Honestly? Unlike the director who seems to be in love with panning, I am not, although in my own way, I also panned this film :)
