It's not called the Firefly cave, it doesn't even have Fireflies, it's called the Waitomo Caves, and they have glow worms. But I think the south Island is the most beautiful part of my country 🇳🇿

As a kiwi I’d recommend if your travelling to go to pelorus sounds instead of Milford there are much less tourists it’s quiet and secluded and it’s even more beautiful

I used to work as tours in those caves, back a few years ago, they were so cool, however they weren't fireflies, they were silkworms that produced a biolumiescent light or smth like that.
