I caved as a younger man in Kentucky. It thrilled me to explore. Some of the caves we had no business being in, located on private property and hadn’t been entered for who knows how long. The limestone was interbedded with weaker shale and we just pushed our luck. A friend in front of me and one behind as we crawled with our backs hitting the ceiling. No way to turn around until you find a larger area. The thought of it now (or any confinement) is terrifying. I guess that can happen as we age.

I watched the cave diving connection done with both caves on both sides and then when they dove this spot after digging the hole all the way through. It was so amazing even tho I’ll never do it, but it was the original guys then one killed himself so he had met and started cave diving with another Geoff and entered here and dove from here all the way through to where it comes out. So damn scary! They had 6 freaking bottles on them to make this through dive, and had to enter at the end and swim way up to leave two extra tanks they could pick up the next day when they reached that point from that hole they dug. It was still freshly dug when they first dove it.
