Since - right after downloading Sonoma 14.5, my MacBook fan has been working almost non-stop, and then I noticed it's getting super hot! The battery is so hot, even while I'm not doing anything-just writing an email

Since I’m grading to Sonoma from Monterey, the two most common things I do are both not working. My Logitech C920e camera will occasionally flicker one frame, and it’s usually the bottom half or bottom fourth of the image. And recording H.264 files in OBS or prism studio results in footage that gets choppy, the frame rate looking like it’s 3 FPS. I wanted to downgrade back to Monterey, but I need a USB boot drive to do so. Things seemed to work better in safe mode. The flicker started to come back after about an hour, but it was much less. However, I could record H.264 files fine. What a mess!

Sonoma completely messed up my iCloud data. Constantly synching but thats Not the Problem. It made several copies of different Folders, contents spread seemingly arbitrarily between These copies. Now i still dont know if a Future Update is going to Reverse/fix this but more importantly i dont know what data is lost. I have a timemachine Backup, but Paying monthly for Apple plus thinking my stuff would be Save and then for this to Happen sucks big time.

A good video! I have the problem that when Creative Suite is on, it uses 100% CPU power. The MacBook also gets extremely hot and we don't need to talk about battery life... any more info on that? Thanks in advance

My Macbook pro M2 16inch, logic board failed after 3-4 days of installing Sonoma. it was under warranty the logic board plus finger print sensor replaced.

Two out of three new Mac’s have crashed and rebooted several times after updating to Sonoma. Both were M2 processors. The only Mac that didn’t have any problems was a new M3. What a big surprise. 😂

the issue I have with Sonoma is that it won't recognise my camera sd card. It's worked fine for several weeks but now refuses to recognise the SD card. Tried looking for it in Disc Utility as suggested in other KZbin videos it's not there. Is this a Sonoma fault encountered by other users?

Is there a fix for "Auto-Save?" It seems this option have been removed entirely. And for some reason, I can't edit or crop jpg files. Updating to Sonoma was a mistake.

Did you just install it? Maybe you need to use Open core Legacy Patcher. I used it today upgrade my Mac Mini 2011 to Sonoma yesterday. It runs fine only the problem with google chrome so i used other browser like yandex ....

if you found temperature increased, and laggy, check your activity monitor, because there's "fileproviderd" process that eat a lot CPU Usage and also on Disk, its writing a lot data, like 10Gb in around 10 minutes, also in me 150Gb under one day. yes very dangerous for SSD TBW. how to fix it, turn off al sync of iCloud Drive jn Settings - iCloud, i disable the all sync lever, or turn it off, then the "fileproviderd" is stopping it's activities I'm using MBA M1, it's happened after Sonoma update, from latest ventura

My Mac 2019 desktop looks like it lost all my photos. Now I am waiting for a very lengthy restoration process where screens says, “restoring”…… All my photo albums on my iPhone, and my iPad have now been scrambled. In the past, Mac desktop was the only way to organize photo albums alphabetically. I sure hope this has not been lost. 😡

I have a big issue with the sound. Mac sometimes switches sound from AirPods to Macbook speakers. When i want to change it back, Mac switches it back. When i switch it again, Mac freezes and Mac is silent. I can't change volume, i can't change source, nothing. I have no idea how to fix that.

is there a way to alter the sing-in screen back to what Ventura had? Apple has a fascination with giant ugly clock fonts. What I mean is in Ventura the box to put your password to sign in was right in the middle of the screen. Now it down at the bottom and this giant rubbish font clock is taking up most of the top. I have a few disability's and it would be much easer for me if the screen sign in was back in the middle.M

Just putting this out there... is there any way in hell to turn off the persistent icloud notification requesting you to agree the new Terms & Conditions. I have and will never ever use icloud, I have clicked Disagree yet this does damn all. Same here, trying to find a solution has me banging my head on the wall. 4 - 22TB drives and there’s about 1/4 of the files missing from Mac but the drives plugged into a Windows PC shows me everything on the drives.

check your activity monitor, if you found "fileproviderd" eating the CPU usage and also writing very big Data on disk, that's the iCloud Drive bug, disable all iCloud drive sync, i was report this bug to Apple today, and they respond it, they will fix it on next features update. im using MBA M1, and in my case its already writing 150Gb, eating my SSD lifespan, also made the whole system slowly and the temperature on TG Pro increased, for idle normally is 37-39 it was over 49-60, that's made laggy. and the "fileproviderd" sometimes using over 100% usage, sometimes it was 30% usage, but still the crazy writings will affecting the SSD TBW if you only found "mdworker" process, that's normal, it was indexing process.

It's simply the worst OS version in recent history. My MBP M1Pro 16GB is so slow after installing Sonoma, it stutters even only playing a 1080p movie. When I upgraded to Sonoma, I did a clean install. There is absolutely no reason for the slow performance.
