I ran Shell 91 just for the extra additives for a while after I first got it, just until the 2nd oil change. Haven't cracked it open, but it sure didn't hurt. It was on a SR5 though.

I'm using 98 premium fuel since my 4A-GE sometimes sounds like tiny bells under the hood under high load. Under the manual, some 4A-GE's must use premium fuel as requirement depending on what country are you living. In Spain the first revision manual says 98 octane fuel (premium), the 2nd rev says 95 octane since the compression ratio got lowered but still I preffer to use high-octane fuel.

@@salloroc20 lol mistake but I meant it'll change the overall fitment of your wheels fitting. You need a specific wheel offset so you'll have nice clearance. It drastically changes when you go from stock suspension to coilovers. Sorry for the confusion on my part haha

Like he said, be aware of discontinued parts. I was buying air filters for my AE92 4AF engine for over 15 years and Toyota decided to discontinue them. Yes, knock off parts are out there but not nearly a well made and more costly. Just forget about getting interior parts as well. It's just part of owning vintage cars. Funny thing, I was able to get an OEM replacement for a cracked PVC hose. Miraculous.
