You're doing amazing work here. Many Pilates instructors have excellent workouts but only little recommendations about progressions or correct execution. In contrast, I found that Callisthenics offer a ton of material online on proper execution, what muscle group to activate and progressions you can do before moving on the difficult version of an exercise. Which is counter-intuitive because calistenics have - in my opinion - much less complex movements and don't focus on flow like pilates does. In any case, many thanks for the insights, this bloody beginner really apreciates it.

Excellent instructions and demonstration! I easily recognised exactly where I habitually go wrong in a number of these. I know already that I'll be coming back to this video again and again in future as I learn to do them properly. Thank you!

You are the only professional I have seen discussing exactly how to do Pilates exercises correctly. They are usually a little condescending if you don’t just get it right with their instructions.

You are so knowledgeable. I guess improper form can cause more harm than good. A while back you recommended to me some of your video clips on piriformis syndrome. I’d like to report they have worked wonders. I so wish I lived near Laconia. I’m sure you could completely diagnose and correct the remaining problems. Thank you so very much

Ahhhhhhhh…. I have always been told to pull the knees more forward for the clamshell. Well now I know why my hip flexors are so tight!

Great instruction! I'm definitely guilty of going into fetal position when doing clamshells. Will make note of all of these great visual and mental cues the next time I do these.

Love this! I appreciate you ! What is your opinion about these other you tubers that are teaching people how to workout without certifications? That doesn’t sit well with me. They can definitely injure someone by not knowing the right exercise to do.

Are you looking for a playlist of the videos I have done on all incorrect exercises? If so, I can do that:) I’m Italian so I got lucky in the skin department:) and I use a lotion made by Pickle Jar Apothecary.

@@drkristieennis then why are they so poorly developed when the rest of you isn't? hun, i've been doing this longer than you, and at a higher level. how many pro athletes have you trained? whatever you do for your quads doesn't work a full range of motion. look at the belly of your deltoid then compare it to the belly of your quad. one of them has definition, the other doesn't. too much pilates, not enough squats. you can't build quads lying on the ground. and you don't have proper form on your push ups to activate the pecs, either. you're pushing all arms. try maintaining an open chest instead of locking your shoulders in that weird pinch. just a tip from someone who's further down the path than you. i could fix you in 10 days, you're really not that far off the mark.
