Good video, brother! Choosing the right cook system makes for good food & good times. I carry the titanium Firebox stove. It's lightweight & very versatile. I can use canisters or just use twigs. I really enjoyed this one. Good job!

Nice video Paul. I pushed that BRS stove past it's limit. I still use it, but wont do long term, heavy cooking. Cooking "fat pots" with a 2 qt stainless steel bushpot in a 3 day class here in Colorado(no ground fires allowed at the time) the titanium pot supports started to sag...too hot for too long. I was able to correct the pot supports with a multi-tool, but now I only boil water for dehydrated camp meals and for coffee. Your kit looks perfect.

Yeah, only downside to titanium is the long-term durability. For something like that I'd use one of those beefier GSI or Coleman stainless steel stoves.

My main GHB, aka my truck, has an old propane single burner and 9 cup stainless coffee pot. Several cups and a frying pan go along in the milk crate kitchen in there. Always coffee and sugar there alongside some jerky and other nibbler type foodstuffs. BOB has a gel stove and the same cup as yours along with a Stanley stainless skillet. EDC has a military canteen, cup and stove and is empty enough to be augmented from my GHB in case I need to abandon my truck.

Sounds like a solid setup!

Good video Paul. To the point and not a lot of BS. Looks like a practical kit for backpacking. Have you noticed if titanium heats faster or holds heat better or worse than aluminum or stainless?

I'll be doing a video on that in the next few weeks.

Honestly if you're going out for a week or more the fuel canister stove is a good option but anything less alcohol stoves are lighter and a better option for a few days or overnighter!!✌️💚✊️🔥

I've been looking at alcohol stove for a while. Haven't used em at all, so I'm definitely going to pick one up.

@adaptablesurvival I've got a ton and the Evernew Trangia style "not" the fake one and the New style titanium Boundless Voyage has built in pot stand and is really the best price and weight!!✊️🔥✌️💚

@@adaptablesurvival I actually prefer the alcohol to the canister stove they are more convenient for me and silent 🤫 stealthy!! Haha 😄
