Cecil Cecil was the younger son of Cornelia Stuyvesant Vanderbilt (1900-1976) and English-born aristocrat John Francis Amherst Cecil (1890-1954). He was the grandson of George Washington Vanderbilt II and Lord William Cecil, the great-grandson of William Henry Vanderbilt and William Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Exeter. His maternal great-great grandfather was railroad and steamship baron, Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt. Jackie's distant cousin is Anderson Cooper of CNN, who's mother was Gloria Vanderbilt, daughter of millionaire equestrian Reginald Claypoole Vanderbilt of the Vanderbilt family and socialite Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt, and Reginald's patrilineal great-grandfather was business magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt, Cornelius Vanderbilt's great-great-great-grandfather, Jan Aertson or Aertszoon ("Aert's son"), was a Dutch farmer from the village of De Bilt in Utrecht, Netherlands, who emigrated to New Amsterdam (later New York) as an indentured servant in 1650.[ The Dutch van der ("of the") was eventually added to Aertson's village name to create "van der Bilt" ("of the Bilt"). I think Rosemary should count as part of the curse. Her initial mental delays were caused by a botched birth that left her brain without oxygen for a time which caused her future behavioral problems. She then had the lobotomy so not to have those behavioral problems interfere with her brother's political careers. She may not have died from it but it sounds pretty cursed to me.

While he spent a lot of his youth addiction to drugs, he became clean and was an actor on the soap opera All My Children as Charlie Brent. Later o he became a writer and a world drug addiction advocate. He died in 2018 of a heart attack.

He also had a role in "13 Days" the Cuban missile crisis film starring Kevin Costner. Lawford portrayed the naval aviator Cmdr William Ecker who was sent in on a low level surveillance flight over Cuba during the crisis. He gave an excellent performance, sad that he died so young.

The video fails to mention that the original Kennedy in America, Pat, or Patrick Kennedy, died when his son P.J. Kennedy was just an infant of less than a year old. It was his widowed mother that raised him, and she was Bridgett Murphy of Wexford, Ireland. She molded him, financed his first business venture which was a tavern, and which led to his political career. There is more Murphy in the first political Kennedy, P.J., than there is Kennedy. And hence the generations since.

When my dad was a young man, he once caddied for Jackie O., while she was golfing at the country club where he worked. He said that she was dignified, had impeccable manners, was very kind, and that she tipped generously, unlike many of the wealthy people that golfed there. It was either in Massachusetts or Rhode Island (we're New Englanders), but I don't know which country club/golf course he worked at, at the time. For a while, he worked at the Pleasant Valley Country Club; it may have been there, but I don't know for sure..

Well I have heard about Kennedy Family Tree originating from Ireland back to date: 900 A.D. In a fact, the Kennedy family immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts during the Great Potato Famine occurred in Ireland. Her siblings didn’t attend the funeral because JFK who was supposed to plan their plane tickets broke down and couldn’t bring himself to go. Later on they did visit her grave and stayed close with the Cavendish family.

Great video Matt. Joe Kennedy III seemed to be on the rise in Massachusetts a few years back. I think he erred by taking on the incumbent Democratic Senator from Ed Markey. Ed became the first politician to beat a Kennedy in Mass, on a pretty grand stage nonetheless. Ed is an effective and popular Senator and Joe may have overplayed his hand in taking him on when he did. I think he may have had more success taking on Elizabeth Warren but maybe he didn't want to wait a few more years because of Presidential ambitions or maybe he didn't want to take on another Harvard elite.

Rosemary didn’t hate her siblings nor would she wish death on them. Half of them were literally minors when it happened and the other half were barely adults. They only found out the truth later in the 60s and then started to speak out about her and bring her back home.

there's a kennedy dynasty in other independent fiefdoms of the historical british isles plus I think the butler dynasty claimed ormonde eventually in ireland and was it shared...anyway irish kennedys were grouped according to hair colour i.e. the red kennedys, etc.. another thing is peerage for ormonde exists in the british system also
