Holyfield aged incredibly well, especially for a relatively small heavyweight, arguably more impressive than Foreman. It is insane how the commentators speculated that he might have been in too many wars during the first Bowe fight, when now we almost look at it as early Holyfield.

Biggest thing that I love about mma in comparison to boxing is the acceptance of losing and how much more likely and cheered a fighter coming back from L streaks is. Look at Dan hooker, 1-4 in 5 fights before beating 3!straight top 15 lightweights to break back into the top 5

I love how in boxing a 2-3 fight losing streak is considered devastating where as in MMA high level fighters bounce back from losing streaks like that all the time.

Chuck Liddells losing streak is possibly the most devastating. Fedors was the most heart breaking. End of an era right there
@CasterShellz9 ай бұрын
Anderson Silva was never the same after the two losses to Chris Weidman, Conor McGregor hasn’t fought since the two losses in 2021 to Dustin Poirier, and Chuck Liddell lost his last 4 fights by KO. Losing streaks affect high-level fighters in MMA as well.

Can you name some? Not trying to put you on the spot but I can't think of any
@snapdowndarsee49599 ай бұрын
@@CasterShellz two of those are as a result of leg breaks. Of course fighters have their times when their chins are shot and their body's can't handle the sport anymore. But even look at the UFC 300 2 days ago, fighters like Holloway, Gaethje, Oliveira, weili, Money moicano, miller and green have all been on multiple fight losing streaks in their careers and have bounced back fighting against strong fighters rather than getting the customary tune up fight usually given in boxing. And sometimes even fighters like Anthony Joshua are being told to retire after two loses to one of the best fighter's in the world.
