Not scripted. That clip was on a video about kids embarrassing their parents and it goes on longer. The kid talked back to his mother, refused to put it back and basically became a real smartass. His mother got really exasperated with him and ended up giving him a bloody good telling off right there in the store.

It's interesting how people respond when they see someone get hurt. I was at a Walmart once with my young son, and he tripped and cut his forehead open on an arcade cabinet. Nearby employees just stood there with their mouths open in shock. I said, "Can you please get a first aid kit?" They didn't move a muscle, just wide-eyed stares, so my wife ran to the bathroom, grabbed some paper towels, and then we drove to the emergency room. He only needed a couple of stitches, so it could have been worse, no thanks to the useless employees.
