MOST EXPENSIVE WAR THUNDER VIDEO - B-29A Superfortress in War Thunder - OddBawZ ft.

This video almost made us bankrupt! Good job we have an event to ease the pain! LOL, jk.
The B-29A-BN is one of the most expensive bombers to spawn in the game. If you die in this thing, it'll cost you a whopping 70,000 Silver Lions. So... in true idiotic fashion, PhlyDaily, JeanClod and Myself decided to take it into Ground Realistic Battles!

In this War Thunder video, we take out the T29 Heavy Tank and the T92 Light Tank for the US Tech Tree and then take to the skies in the B29 Superfortress!
The B 29 Bomber in War Thunder can dish out 18 1000lb bombs but with the flight model and the time it takes for bombs to hit the ground, actually getting a kill with along range bomber in War Thunder is a difficult task.

Fun fact: most American aircraft had built in engine extinguishers. This would render the engine useless, but allow the pilot enough time to bail out, or glide down for a landing. Or for multi engine aircraft: being able to continue flying.

The repair cost on the B29 is absurd. Mine is spaded and the last time I looked it cost over 50K SLs to repair. Even if you drop with 100% accuracy and score a couple of kills you still lose SLs if you die which in Air RB will happen most of the time.

@OddBawZ The B-29 in war thunder is modeled after “FIFI” the B-29 here in the US. The dead give away is the forward top turret. The military way to stow it during flight is guns forward. But since FIFI flies all the time, we put turned the turret around because in flight it causes a lot of annoying wind and turbulence noise. Meaning FIFI is the only B-29 with a rear facing top forward turret.

@oddbawz the non pens on the t-44 turret mantlet is part of the volumetric armour bug go into the protection analysis and look where the two plates meet and it gets up to 500mm of effective thickness. And a pixel or two over it's only 140mm effective thickness
