@@Vigi I have an Orange Tiny Terror that has been modded to sound kind of Blackmore-ish because I'm a huge Blackmore fan. I plan to mod the mod (:D) because it sounds too harsh. It's designed to sound good with a fuzzy preamp. And I own a cheap transistor practise amp, the Hotone British Invasion. Sounds pretty good, though, plus I have the possibility to run a stereo rig. I run them pretty clean but with a small amount of gain to compress the volume of my WH10 and some drive pedals. Kind of what the CE1 does but not as nice sounding as your rig ;)
@Vigi4 жыл бұрын
I’ve actually used the Tiny Terror a lot in band practice. I did always bring my ce-1 but I view that amp as being a gain/crunch amp. So I’m not sure the ce-1 was so necessary. The ce-1 is prefect for amps with a clean channel like the jubilee. :)

How does the preamp in the CE-1 compare to a clean boost pedal like an EP Booster?
@ToppaliniTube3 жыл бұрын
i found a way to recreate this effect with a different pedal. i was playing with a JHS series 3 distortion (basically ds2) and found that on low levels it's really sensitive to input, so clean on soft strums and dirty with more input. not sure if all distortion pedals would have that effect, i haven't seen it from overdrive pedals. i was able to recreate tube like clipping using tube amp modeller into speakers that way.
@Vigi3 жыл бұрын
Interesting! Do you get good interaction with other pedals like distortion that way? :)
@ToppaliniTube3 жыл бұрын
@@Vigi i ended up putting it at the very start of the chain so that i could use compression and still get the input sensitive effects. doesn't help with volume jumps but. i can kick on a fuzz or other high gain pedal without that pedal jumping higher than its set. and it doesn't cause a bunch of white noise like stacking two high gain pedals. i'm thinking of getting a new distortion pedal and using this pedal solely for this effect. sounds really good for cleanish stuff like cant stop or under the bridge rhythm sections, and if the gain is turned up a bit it sounds like an overdrive for lead
@ToppaliniTube3 жыл бұрын
i'm definitely going to upload an under the bridge jam using this effect. it really forces you to play gently to get a clean tone and ends up sounding better and really unique as the level of clipping is constantly changing

When I have had band practice over the years I’ve come into contact with different amps and I’ve always used this pedal for crunch. Higher than this has cool crunch for the very crunchy stuff but doesn't work with ds2+wah with my rig. What is the current requirements?? is it low?

You'll need higher than normal.

You can get a slight crunch tone in a clean channel if you max your volume level to 10 you will get a slight ce-1 crunch tone.
@Vigi4 жыл бұрын
Yes but I think that crunch is different from the ce-1 and not really what I want.

Why so much reverb on his mic?
@Vigi3 жыл бұрын
Because this is his first talking head video and he doesn’t know what he’s doing. 🤷♂️

man... the most important jhon frusciante pedal ist die MXR MicroAmp lml,
@Vigi2 жыл бұрын
I’ve made a video comparing the two. :D

@@Vigi yes man!!! i already saw it! Do you think Frusciante conect the MXR after or before the saturation?... i make my own pedals by myself and i made last week an mxr microamp, sounds amazing
@Vigi2 жыл бұрын
What do you mean with saturation in this case?
@adolfoberrios79592 жыл бұрын
@@Vigi i mean with saturation pedals like fuzz, overdrive and distortion. I think he uses a Big Muff 3rd Edition, Ibanez distortion and boss overdrive... but to sound so clean like in Can't Stop for example, i think he puts the MXR before the distortion and stoff. What do you think?

To be honest, I don't care enough about this junkie's tone? It's nothing revolutionary...just like JF's tone and playing, nothing special
