100% agree with you Rudy. YOUR point is the difference between my late 50s quasi-retired azz and my friends who are still wage slaves. I actually invested in equities starting in the early 80s when the Dow was under 2,000 ( LOL ). And you are also correct. I SHOULD have been buying zero coupon bonds at +8% instead because of risk... but that option was/is not offered to mundanes like myself. Anyways... I rode the greatest economy in the history of mankind... and I am still riding - LOL enjoy your videos dude... bring back Russian Rudy!

I seem to have those ideas a couple times a month but I've been doing this sort of thing a long time at this point (about 20 years. I was the weird kid telling my parents to buy sealed boxes of pokemon and yugioh to save). I try to always get a piece of anything that looks good. Not everything works out. You might buy 30 Macfarlane Toys Gold Angelas in 1995 and watch their value drop to nothing and remain there even until today or you might buy 1st edition sealed boxes of neo discovery and watch them rise to insane prices over the next 20 years. You have to weigh the risk vs reward of an investment but you can't be afraid to act on it either. I've missed so many opportunities because I was afraid or lacked confidence. For example, In 2010 I traded for a few fetch lands at 10$ each and I remember looking at them and thinking "Damn, this is good. This should be worth a lot more." but I never went out and bought a bunch of them even though I saw them as undervalued and *knew* in the back of my mind that it was great thing to hold on to. I have lots of stories like that, but also lots of successes and failures. To me, the failures don't hurt even half as much as the missed opportunities. With the failures at least I tried, I did something. I can laugh at it later. (Just don't go "all in" on anything.) With missed opportunities I just feel sick thinking about them. Even if you don't invest much, you gotta act on these hunches when you feel the tug. Usually they're there for a reason. Be cautious but don't be afraid. Look at the supply, the demand, the uses, whether it's consumable or not, whether it's the 1st release of an untested product or the 20th "limited edition" in name only of something that's already popular. Never invest more than you're willing to lose but be willing to invest. Be patient. If I'd sold my boxes of pokemon even 5 years ago I'd be so mad at myself right now. I'm on twenty years now with these. Yeah it's a long time but that's what it takes sometimes. Sometimes a quick flip is fine if you happen into the right place at the right time but those are the exceptions. Real value is gained one day at a time.

Scaredy Cats Waterbowl today, huh? My issue is I never take my own advice. Should have held that AMD stock since 3.5$. Should have bought google, amazon, etc. But I am always trying to go for big gains. I am now making a rule that 10-20% of profits (in stocks) stay in that company or go into a nice dividend stock. (Canadian dividend, since it's less taxable then)

I bought 6 boxes of ultimate timmy masters to hold, got them at $450au each, they retailed at $500-550 each (australian) each. Expected them to go up as high as $800-900 in 4 years. And Wizards saying "No more masters for the foreseeable future"" was the icing on the cake. 1.5 years later, they've gained not one cent of value, mostly due to the invention of pioneer and the destruction of modern and legacy. Should have bought battlebond

One: there is more to fight for now than in all the years of revolution and strife in the last 1000 years. Two: Theres plenty to "fear" or worry about thats plain for anyone to see that opens their eyes or has the wit or foresight to see it all happening or coming. Three: Taking advice from a crazed man that works 22 hours a day with cards only breaking for the occasional taco, pushing his son in his large toy train car or givin' his woman a little sugar; is my idea of the perfect soap box. lol

Secondary markets in cardboard are that. Markets won’t go to zero because there’s no SCA to regulate it. So many people sit on things because of fear of loss. But when you look at it it’s comic book industry. It’s only worth what people pay for it. It’s a card game if you can’t play them because most are band. It’s about machismo. I have it that’s all good. But really this secondary market has turned into used car salesmen. Old guys with money buy 60s muscle cars. They suck compared to a new car.

Unexpected bills. Save for it. If they are regular bills, you do have a spreadsheet that lists the bills and when they are due on a regular basis, right? If you don't have a budget spreadsheet, do that. Takes concerns off..... or accentuates them.

If 1/10 fears come true that’s actually pretty scary. It depends on your fears if that’s the case. If you’re worried about serious things than the risk isn’t actually worth it. If 10% of the time if you take the risk meant you’d die then almost nobody would take that chance.

Most people fail because they lack patience, vision and persistence. Everyone is addicted to the get rich overnight, 10x, gambling mentality, etc. No one wants to put in the hours in actually create a business, build a position in assets and/or continually do their due diligence to get ahead in their lives. Investors who look long term and stay the course are the ones that will eventually reap the rewards.
