Demon Slayer has some has some good animation but it's not always top teir and when it is, it's usually pretty short (lasting at most a couple minutes). Comparing it to Fate (especially the movies) is not even a competition. Hope the movies that come out change that, though.

I know it's a nitpick but mentioning the names of animators instead of entire studios would probably be better because studios don't matter nearly as much as the staff on board a project as most animators in the industry at the moment are freelancers and hop from project to project which means studio to studio as well. Examples of animators you could've mentioned for this video are Yutaka Nakamura for a majority of the One Punch Man fight scene, Sunghoo park for Ninja Kamui, Vercreek for the Frieren black hole scene, Weilin Zhang for the Hitori No Shita scene, Katsumi Ishizuka for Zoro vs King and the Hakuyu Go team for the mob psycho fight scene.

Name one anime or even one scene that beats fate or specifically saber berserker or saber vs rider in eye candy. I get that one piece fans (or really any long running anime fans) excuse the animation quality and are amazed when it's good or great (like for this fight) but go frame by frame or look at details within the scene and you will notice the MASSIVE difference in quality, shortcuts, smearing, jaggedness, etc. One piece and the JJK mahoraga fight used a lot of clever shortcuts to make it LOOK great upon initial view, but closer look reveals many shortcuts, tricks, smearing, etc that undermine its quality. Same with one piece. It's god tier for long running animes though! But any long running anime will not be able to beat top seasonal ones in animation quality peaks nor consistency. There's a VERY good reason why the fate movies were called unlimited budget works... They won't be comfortably beat for a long time.

@@REIwAlexY I said it's better than lots of them. Not all. Nothing in Heaven's Feel can be topped. Or even the recent final episode of DS Hashira Training Arc. I do agree with what you're saying about animation "quality" but this isn't about the quality itself but rather the visual appeal. Like how radio static from old music might have auditory appeal but not audio quality. Using tricks and workarounds doesn't make an animation any less of a spectacle. It's just computer graphical artistic freedom in a way. I could maybe hand-draw immersive details on a portrait or make a caricature. It's obvious which one has more detail but it's not immediately obvious which appeals more to whom.

Soooo, I understand the picks of each of these ones but can I just put my opinion? - For Solo Leveling, the Igris fight was indeed great BUT the fight after the spider boss was my personal favorite. The way they incorporated the build-up alongside the stellar OST and the way they animated it totally beats any other fight in season 1. - For One Punch Man's season 1, let me sell you on my favorite. The sparring match of Genos and Saitama. - For God of Highschool. I personally prefer the Jin Mori vs Park Ilpyo one. Even if they did change the outcome of it in the anime adaptation it delivered.

Late to the party so this won't be seen but it's wild how almost all the vids like this ignore anything not made in recent years. If I watch a greatest sci-fi compilation, or greatest movie fight scenes, or whatever else, you end up seeing well-crafted clips across decade after decade. All of these "Best Anime" whatevers span like 20 years at best in many cases, 10 at best in too many, and always equate bright & flashy to best. It's easy to tell how heavy the bias is and how much has been missed. "Most Legendary" implies the entirety of works have been considered and sifted through and this list doesn't reflect that at all.

Very nice selection! Must have been tough to choose. A few other scenes that could easily be among that list are (i) the final fight between Siegfried vs Karna in Fate Apocrypha (banger!), or (ii) Pain vs four-tailed Kyubii in Naruto.

What makes the Wethermon battle more impressive is that according to the game devs later on in the next episode, he is not supposed to be defeated until mid-end game, which by this point no one is at because no one has defeated a world boss yet. So basically, MC, his friend, and a person they knew online in another game came in, had one hell of a fight, and fucking beat a boss that was not supposed to be beaten yet and this stage while using gear that would definitely be considered severely underpowered if it was actually mid-game.

I honestly thought that Sukuna vs Mahoraga wasn't good, it's over the top action with very little substance, while visually stunning I was actually getting bored towards the end. Compare that the tengen vs gyutaro I couldn't get my eyes of the screen for 6 episodes straight, now that was an emotional rollercoaster.

Fate series is like the quintessential series for gorgeous fight scene animation. Some of them seem to take a year to make, specially the ones in the haven feel movies.

Due to solo leveling animation I read the entire series within a day without any sleep of rest at all because when I'm feeling sleepy they throw out some chills and amazing moments that keeps me awake and continue reading. It was a bliss so those who can't afford to wait anymore go read it and it'll never be a disappointed adventure
