We can also proceed using sandwich theorem and using definite integration from 0 to 1 for solving those limits in summation

You can use limit of a sum (Integration by first principle. f(r/n) = (r/n)^7) and avoid generalization.

@@neha886 first of first rz maths....Then we have great Physics Galaxy for physics....UC Accelerate includes pms sir, Bj sir and Manoj Chauhan sir.... Though it depends on the student itself to which they are easily able to connect. These are my personal opinions.

This question can also be solved by converting gif into some no. - fractional part ( [X]=X-{x} ) and then applying. L-hopital rule. ☺️☺️

That idea was new for me summation one but you made a mistake on defining G.I.F it should be x≤[x]

i solved this by using definite integration in the last step, i applied it in the rhl and in the lhl i expected the same result as 1/n^7 would tend to 0 as n tends to infinity

we can solve it by assuming x as 1 and then using limit as a sum to it yields the same answer

sir why didnt u use definite integration as a limit of sum here? any specific reason? everything is present in the required form and limit of sum was more clearly visible then the generalisation u have taught; the answer is matching by that method too still the question was good and I learnt this generalisation, so thanks sir

Same query i too have. After algebraic adjustments we have xlim(n->infinity) 1/n ×[ (1/n)^7+(2/n)^7+.....]=x integration(0 to 1) [t^7dt]=x(1/8)=x/8

I think every kid knows and can spot limit sum in a question. But an alternate perspective always helps. If you knew this simple fact about the leading coefficient of summation, you can solve this question very quickly instead of integration (which is not too slow but still slower than this method)

I think the Left hand limit is writtern worng. It should be (x-1) Summation n^7

Thanks for introducing this new concept, nice problem! It has a relation with integrals, as if we take integral of n^7, we get n^8/8 (as integral is infintely small summation)

It can also be converted to definite integration by taking 1/n common and then 1/n summation r=0 to r=1 (r/n)^7 to form integration of x^7 from 0 to 1. So it should be x/8

Yes, but then the fractional part, even when all term of it tends to 1 will give n/n⁸ which tends to 0 for n tends to infinity, lekin uske baad bhi answer aane ke liye 7 power wale sum ka idea hona chahiye.
