Hey country people, it great to see some Canadians out there. We are hoping to come down for a few months April (but we are told that its the rainy season) so we are still making plans. We are a family of 4 (includes a 5y/o) and wondering if it makes sense to rent an airbnb in Nairobi as a base and then spend those months hoping up and down attractions or just make 3-4 day trips and a hotel in between? What is the real Covid situation out there? Hoping you're well. P.s. My wife is consuming your videos for breakfast, dinner and in between.

I have lived in the Nakuru area for years and I haven't been to that lodge. It is a beautiful place and I hope I will visit it at some point. I love your videos. It is good to see Westerners show positive images from Africa and not what is the norm for the Western main stream media that makes Africa look like the home of the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse"! Keep up the good work.

Nakuru,the crossroad of Kenya's diversity! You should visit again when the lake is nearly carpet-pink with flamingos. They migrate to breed then flock back to feed the chicks on algae in the alkaline waters

Nice to see you guys back in Africa. After being there in 2012 its amazing to see how much of the Lake area has flooded. But beautiful place to stay in those tents. Magical 🇰🇪🇰🇪. The flamingoes give Lake Nakuru a unique vibe. Lord Egerton Castle is a great place to visit to.It is in Njoro a short drive from Nakuru Town. Lord Egerton built a castle for a woman who rejected it and him..

Lake Nakuru is not a salt water Lake bana. I literally live 10minutes away from the Lake, we get fish from the Lakeside fishermen all yhe time. A fresh water commercial fish pond burst at the beginning of 2020 and most of the fish ended up in Lake Nakuru. They are doing very well btw

Great content as always... Keep up the good job.. I'm definitely going to the Cliff on my next trip.. Lake nakuru & naivasha water levels rising are due to the climate change as well as the shift /movement of the earth's plates... Let's hope in a few yrs the resorts near the lake won't be affected because that would be bad for business..
@theplaylist94533 жыл бұрын
I forgot to mention that lake bogoria & baringo are experiencing the same issue... And may merge pretty soon.. What's really sad is that people have been displaced due to this issue.. Cnt really compete with mother nature.. Can we?

Lake Nakuru is one of the lakes within the Great Rift Valley. With exception of Lake Naivasha and a few others, most of the lakes found within the Great Rift Valley are salty. You should check out the remaining ones, especially Lake Bogoria, Lake Turkana, Lake Elementaita, and Lake Logipi. All these will make epic destinations for your travel within the valley.
