I care about that issue and I think you are right because a lot of people are just dumb they say they will boycott after buying skins you don’t BUY from where you are boycotting it shows they don’t care that much (not everyone of course) and if a 4 star skin makes them pay then at time point they would only be complaining and not doing anything like a lot of KZbinrs have pointed out which is also true some are just going free to play tho too

U guys just complain about Fictional char is just...☠️. u should already know that hoyo always use god or mythologycal name only for the name or costumer reference, this game is not even real and not represent anything in real life, its A GAME! Ofc they will make their char was white since biggest fandom come from asia which its their most targeted market and 90% of asia like china,Jp,Korea is white people. So if u don't like these char being not black as u expected just uninstall the game or create your own game bruh ☠️ its mean you are not their marketing target.

No one complained about Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Fontaine characters being light-skinned because it makes sense based on the irl inspiration. And in Snezhnaya, there wouldn't be any complaints about it either. But sumeru and natlan are based on places irl with darker skin tone, so it doesn't make sense. Obviously like you said it's just a game, so no need for a 1 to 1 similarity to the real world. And I think some are taking it way too far with the hate. Sumeru and Natlan are the only two regions with predominantly dark skinned people and they still force them to be white🤦 If hoyo really wanted to make their characters light-skinned, then they should have picked another region irl to take inspiration from instead.

@@efebs4978 reference is not representation, mihoyo mostly only use their Culture and don't mind about the char, their goal is to sell their char, and most of fandom is asia which most of them like white char and that was their goal, it Doesnt matter if the char is white or not but the dev choice is to make them like their designer or player like, its not represented America Latin or Africa bro they only Take REFERENCE about their culture not the Entire Region Matter like their skin or smth, if think they should make A char look accurate like in real life then why don't u complain if Nahida Doesnt look like in the Book? If you think that it's okay to use someone else's culture, while also ignoring its people, then good for you. But some people don't think it's okay, and that's their opinion. Again, no hate should be taken too far. But the criticisms towards sumeru and natlan characters are valid. It's sad but true that hoyo prioritizes profit over everything. But shouldn't players have a right to complain about that?

characters are already shown and theres no hope for skin tone change so with ot without that boycott....characters will be as is...and if ever that boycott reaches 1m or whatever... i would be happy if all of those who participated in that thing would justt quit and uninstall the game and leave us ones who doesnt care about skin tones enjoying and still supporting the game...im not white..im not black...im brown...and i dont need to force skin tone or cultural representation in any fictional media...

Being inspired by different cultures and mythologies to make your works is not that, a lot of anime do where those things are used in tandem to create something new and I see no one complaining or screaming racism either. Hoyoverse will not do anything about this, Most of the fan base and the game is from CN, and on CN even if a dark-skinned character released, it will not take off in CN (because of controlled and propaganda, and *most* of them are racists.) So if you wanted to boycott then play the game's competitors like Wuthering Waves. Other than that it's Sumeru drama all over again.

I will say that Mihoyo really should do better with character design. Just because it's fictional, doesn't mean pale skin are the only ones allowed to be fictional characters. I for one aren't asking for black characters. I'm asking for diverse skin color, since black people aren't the only people who are dark.
