Once I got a rhythm and the movement down on the abductor, it is one of my favorite to end a workout with with a slow and controlled movement with a pause. I start slightly leaned forward, then move my upper body to being slightly leaned back. Great connection with the glutes. This title is slightly misleading because most of the exercises mentioned do somethingggg for the glutes, but could be done incorrectly or aren't the most effective for growing glutes.

Thank you, someone with real knowledge. I feel it exactly where I want it. Just because someone who was born with big glutes and became an influencer doesn’t make them an expert on growing glutes. This video is quite annoying the way she’s downing on everyone else’s proven techniques. What doesn’t work for you may work for someone else, it usually because it’s custom and you not doing it correctly.

To each their own - and I am a strong believer of that, not everyhing will work for anyone. But as you said I also use abductor machine as one of the last exercise, but I never lean forward, not even the slightest, but I do pause in the extended position and try to hold it with my glutes then slowly go back. For me it was never a problem feeling my glutes as they are the most developed/dominant part of my body since I can remember. I usually have a vice versa problem than most people - when I want to work my quads, usually my glutes "come" to help and sometimes I really want my quads to work more (even tho I have muscles on it, they are not developed as I want them to be).

I do sumos and wider stance squats because it works best for my anatomy. I also think that if you don’t have the genetics for nice rounded glutes you won’t get nice rounded glutes. They will shape up but won’t get big and round like some women who have the genetic predisposition.
@shaunaleessnackidies

Totally agree, especially split squats, those always only target my quads. You’ve got to feel it in the right spots while doing it, mind/muscle connection is a thing. Great tips, thanks!

One thing I learned in my gym journey: just because a workout works on someone doesnt need to work on you. Since I switched from bulgarians to step up OMG my ass grew crazy 🤭🥹 You have to find the right workouts for your body 😋

Do you do the step ups on the cable Maxine with a bench or just dumbbells and a bench/box? I’m trying to find a good one which won’t expand my waist.
@shaunaleessnackidies
@shaunaleessnackidies 9 ай бұрын
@@AllanaxJ I’ve never heard of anything for glutes or legs expanding our waist lol bikini bodybuilder competitors certainly don’t get big waists. I’ve done 15lb max dumbbells w a bench to step up. I squeeze one glute side at a time and focus on thinking about it and using controlled, good form.

I think you needed to give alternatives as not all exercises are/should be aimed at growth. For example banded clams or firedrill are specifically strengthening your glute medius and hips. They are very far from useless. Vital for overall si joint/pelvic stability. Include pilates into your gym routine to target the smaller muscles & alignment.
@May-qb3vx
@May-qb3vx 7 ай бұрын
I agree! My pelvic floor PT has me do banded clamshells and fire hydrants. Getting the glute meds working is more about joint stability and mobility in the hips than making the muscles get physically bigger. They are 100% needed for pelvic floor health.

Hey. Arab here. Sometimes I can talk with an accent too. When you’re bilingual sometimes it just naturally happens. when I explain things I tend to have a stronger accent it just comes naturally. Also, sometimes we actually don’t realize it until someone points it out. Let’s just focus on our goals and focus on building our glutes 🙄💅🏻

I had sleepy glutes for years without knowing. I was only able to wake my glutes up recently and the feeling is night and day. I never felt my glutes activate once during exercise for YEARS. But!!! That didnt stop them from growing. What I will say is they grew asymmetrically, and all the different variations of all the exercises wouldnt target where i needed because they were fast asleep. Even after just waking them up theyre rounder where I wanted, i thought my glute genetics were just whack this whole time

Yes, I AGREE 💯 but people need to be considerate in UK gyms. In other countries, people courteous and considerate leave machines after 20 minutes or so. In fact, from my experience, compound exercises are best to grow ur glutes instead of isolation exercises.

I think women attach to this entire glute idea far beyond than what they need to. Just go to the gym and get a nice enjoyable workout and don’t overthink all this nonsense women. This is called an unhealthy attachment. Use the gym for moving the energy in your body and to enjoyably keep your body healthy as a form of self love. Beauty is far beyond building a huge butt. Do the best you can.
