That's very true. I have just finished reading the Lamrim and I'm experiencing this exact existential crisis. Money, fame, relationship, they are all hard to acquire, hard to keep, subject to uncertainty, and at the time of death they will all fall to ashes. We all know this deep inside yet we all spend our lives chasing after mirage. Knowing this intellectually is easy. But when you have had nothing but aspirations for this life your entire live, of course it is difficult. May Rinpoche comes back to us swiftly 🙏

All is about the middle way... be humble, compassionate, generous and watch daily Dharma talks by Rinpoche. The matrix becomes a much more tolerable place, for the time being. Blessings to all brothers and sisters 🙏🏻

there is perfection at whatever stage one is. it may take many countless returns to accumulate enough to be able to experience enough pain (dukkha) and enough insights in the same lifetime to make one resolve. And all these while life and responsibilities are happening

I must be lucky; I tried mantra japa one day 11 years ago, the mantra of Green Tara, and it made me feel better so I kept going, right up to this morning. I looked carefully at the ways in which it was making me feel better and had to drop a whole load of mental and emotional habits along the way. Still working on it! Best wishes to All :)

In short, it talks about Parting From Four Attachment, well known Tibetan Text. Point number 1. If you are attached to this life you are not genuine practitioner. Because your practice is motivated by 8 worldly concerns. It becomes karma not merit. Point 3. Point 4.

Of course, we must not blame the external needlessly. And yet, it is also not wise to say there is no potential for corruption within the Dharma institutions or that the static doctrinal Dharma can account for all troubles in all their potentiality. Here are two links about this subject: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKqte6CDiNOkmq8 kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaG9c3iEjd-oqq8 Though we must encourage a self-responsible attitude, we must also guard against discouraging practising sincere criticism. The Buddha himself could only attain his enlightenment because he had a respectful critical attitude towards the established teachings of his time.

Samsara is mind identification. The mind can and will easily hijack meditation, traditions, and pretty much anything in order to augment the ego and keep the proverbial wheel rolling. The big joke is that freedom has always been right here. Step back, look right here, right now, do not grasp a single thought. Be still, and see what is here; prior to believing a thought about who or what you are.
@Useruser-x2i3 ай бұрын
Yet you need to break free smsara chain by karma resolution. There is one karma in life , one trauma in shadow self cause samsara. Mantra etc wont resolve it neither prior to consciousness that is the state of emptiness . You d see repeated cycle because of karma and trauma. Fix either or both of them but it takes dynamic awareness to find which karma and traumatic event in childhood. Doing any karma wont fix nor any trauma release but a specific one. This is also a kind of brahma Astra.

Why do people only focus on spending on themselves in the word "money"? You can help many people and thereby gain peace of mind. Maybe they just haven't tried and keep complaining about how big money doesn't make you happy.

As I understand it, Samsara is the way reality appears to us when we are identified with the senses, body and the self. Dharma is the collected Teachings of Buddhism and its practices.

Buddhism should modify its most basic idea about Dukkha. Buddhism sees this world as a jail, not playground. Or the religion will loose followers to other religion like Christianity.

But before you use samsara as s symbol in language you should realize that samsara and nirvana does not really exist. Paradise is here and now.
