I've fished my chatterbaits with both a super shad and a zako and had alot of success during the warm months, I guess im set for the fall and winter 😅 I do want to try the chatter spike and rapala crush city free loader.

The chatter spike is pretty sweet! Don’t sleep on that diesel minnow! Those elaztech baits are by far my favorite trailers

I like to put on a craw and yoyo. Geena pumpkin or something more craw less shad colored. Pick your poison. I fish a cranking rod with braid to mono. Works for me. I'm not super trigger happy though. Unless I get on a hot jig bite. But growing up fishing t rigged worms gives you patience.

Have you tried the chatterbaits that are just a blade and jig head with no skirt? They're marketed for the saltwater and I've caught a couple redfish with them in the Chesapeake. But I bet bass would hit them. Also the Strike King Redfish Magic spinnerbait is pretty cool because you can change the jig head and put any jig on it like a big Beetlespin. I don't know if that's interesting to bass folks or not.

That is a cool concept! I like that Spinnerbait idea, it’s cool too look at baits that aren’t traditionally bass baits and use them as such. I’ve recently been playing with the z man willow vibe. It’s a walleye bait but a naked chatterbait with a willow blade instead of a chatterbait style blade

@@JD_Fishing I tried the Willow Vibe without much luck in the saltwater. I lost them but I should try them again. It's funny, spinnerbaits are usually a bass thing but redfish will hit them so Strike King makes one for them. So it would be a freshwater saltwater freshwater bait if you used it for bass 😂. The Trout Magic underspinner jig they make should be a bass catcher too.

I dig it man. Interested in learning anything fishing. They all basically eat the same things. Smaller fish, crustaceans and other bugs and other swimming critters. Salt water fishing is on my list of things I'd like to do and I will GOD willing.

@comfortablynumb9342 not sure if your interested but I’ve caught some of my biggest flounder on crappy jigs (specifically fire tiger color ) .. they are small light wire hooks that rust out after 1 use but they work great .. if your fishing deeper water just use a dropper loop up above with just enough weight to get down .. I would tip it with a killie or spearing .. they work incredible. Been using them for years ..

In Oklahoma, I throw a chatterbait 11 months out of the year, and I fish 11 months out of the year.

Are you serious??? A CHATTERBAIT when bass are suspended in water temp below 50 degrees? Where are you fishing??? In Florida??? I dont take this anecdotally. But chatterbait for winter aint gonna do it in most the US

Deadly serious man, no matter where you go there are fish that live shallow. Even when I’m fishing through the ice I still catch them in grass in less than 10 feet. Big largemouth will always live shallow in almost every fishery across the country.

I like how all you guys say the bass gut sluggish in cold weather, I catch my biggest fish through the entire winter rippin lipless n jerks and they smash em even rippin em insanely fast!!
