Holy cow, I never knew the 1060 was so popular. I remember people everywhere could not stop talking about the amazing value of the 970 and it seemed like everyone and their mother were getting one but I never heard a peep about the 1060.

I'm new in the hardware world, but I've seen the rise of Polaris and Pascal GPUs. The 1060 was super popular even in third world countries like mine, because it was and still is an incredible card for 1080p gaming, with a very appealing price. Thanks to the bitcoin madness, NVIDIA has won their fight against the RX 480/580, since these GPUs were heavily over-priced compared to the GTX 1060. They've stopped producing the GTX 1060 a little too early in my opinion, that let the RX 580 finally shine. I feel like both the RX 580 and the 1060 will be remembered forever just like the 970, the 9800 GT, the 750 Ti...

​@@LuizFernando-li1du Spot on! There's a reason why the 500 cards are up in the top 15 but not the 400 cards. No one could buy the 400 cards as they were all ate up by miners. By the time the mining craze was over in 2018, the rx 400 cards were at end of life status, replaced by the 500 refresh.

Laptops. It shares the same name as the desktop version so the figure is bigger. It's why the 1060 and 1050ti exploded in popularity since they stopped putting M at the end of their laptop versions.
