We are counting down 5 of the absolute WORST, most tragic Red Dresses of all time. The red dress is an iconic choice, the bold color carrying much of it's impact, but upon closer inspection so many of them are simply awful designs, garish and ill-thought out. One dress in today's video even has a disturbing nickname you won't believe. Let's take a look at these most horrendous dresses and WHY you don't like them. Also, I explain why I have been beefing with Carolina Herrera recently, there's a big problem happening with her designs the last few years, we must address it.

In September 2022 the Princess of Wales wore the stunning gold cape dress, by Jenny Packham, to the Bond movie premiere. In October 2022 Markle wore that hideous red rag to try and upstage the Princess of Wales....and failed spectacularly as usual.

Catherine really did look like a Goddess. Markle looked absolutely ridiculous and so out of place at that event. I can't stand woman like markle they swear they the most beautiful, stylish and intelligent women on Gods green earth. Markles jealously of Catherine getting all the compliments and attention got the best of her and markles arrogance led her to believe that she was going to actually steal the limelight and attention Catherine received in that beautiful gold dress .She failed big time I actually felt embarrassed for the rest of us American woman because markle represents us on the world stage because markle represents every negative stereotypes of how the world views american woman , attention seeking check , arrogant check , know it all check, loud, proud and obnoxious check. She is an embarrassment to all american woman and she even has the audacity to think she is entitled to speak for all of us and to be our voice on the world stage .. I don't know who gave her such authority but she doesn't speak for me or represent me in any form . I wish she would just stop it . Her faux act of pretending to be Dianna 2.0 is creepy and so is her fake humanitarian act . Markle cares for no one but herself and her acting is so bad people see right through her grift . Her speeches are so sugary fake and always focused on herself and how fantastic and wonderful she is , she uses the same buzz words and hand movements in every speech. And the sound of her voice is annoying and is like nails down a chalkboard to my hearing .

There's no way to top the Princess of Wales in that gold dress. HRH Prince William practically needed a bib, he couldn't take his eyes off her. Again, no need for claw hand-holding for those two. Class and passion were on parade at that premiere and no one needed it pointed out, it was obvious. Princess Catherine knew exactly what Prince William was thinking and she loved every second of it. I'm hard-pressed to remember a time when Harry looked at Meghan like William looked at Catherine. Has he ever openly been stunned by her choice of clothing?

Thank you. I've wanted to point this out. She hasn't been the head designer of her eponymous label since 2018. Wes Gordon has been the designer. Herrera's designs were beautiful and they were always about real women. Yes, wealthy, strong women, but real ones. I don't find the same is true now.

The worst transgression (to me) regarding Lizzo, was that monstrosity of a see through derriere dress she wore at some sporting event. The Siren dress could have been successful if the bodice was fitted correctly. (Cover and hoist those puppies up!). I can't even with the vagina dress. Like I said, too many "yes" people sycophants in Tinsel City. Same with the "petal" dress. In the voice of my grandma "No one needs to see THAT much of your business!" (RIP Gran). No words on the Markle dress, except she thinks she looks a million dollars in it. Which leads me to believe she has the magic mirror from Snow White in her dressing room.

Carolina Herrara designed beautiful garments. Since she retired, it's gone downhill fast. OTOH, Queen Letezia of Spain wears clothes from that studio and almost always looks wonderful. It's a matter of having innate personal taste and the ability to cherry pick the designs that work for you, are tasteful and appropriate. Megs has no personal taste and so falls victim to the "if its expensive/designer it must be good" school of ignorance. Pity.

Please do a video of all the times MM didn’t dress correctly for the event and stuck out like a sore thumb. The red ball gown dress was, like you said, over the top for a military event. But there was also the many-layered tulle bird dress in Australia - in the background you can see the other women dressed in work suits and carrying tote bags. She’s always either overdressed for an event or underdressed for it. She’s either wearing winter clothes in the summer or summer clothes in the winter. She never seems to get it right. It’s absolutely bizarre. Thank goodness she’s no longer a working royal - one wonders what she would have shown up in at a State dinner.

I think anyone within eyeshot of Lizzo is always deeply grateful if she actually puts anything resembling clothes on at all. As for the Markle creature, it isn't just the dress that's aggressive, it perfectly reflects her raging inappropriate dark personality. The only thing missing from that outfit was a headband with horns. Maybe a pitchfork to finish the look.

It was funny when she said, “Maybe Carolina Herrera will get better over time,” about one of the most iconic luxury designers of all time. To be fair, Carolina Herrera herself (born in 1939) stopped designing for her namesake line in 2018, and it seems the new design lead is taking things in a different direction. It’s unfortunately not the designer’s fault when a celebrity insists on wearing a design that doesn’t look good on them; to me it seems the person’s stylist should be speaking up and getting the clothes tailored to ensure their client presents well.

The Carolina Herrera dresses appear to have basically the exact same top to them.other than The Meg having straps. The skirts were different in that one had a straight skirt with a slit and a poufy train starting at the waist while the other was straight part way down then had some volume and an added train starting somewhere around the knee. Strangely both dresses did not fit the wearers boobs and appeared to be digging into the top back and sides leaving muffin tops at the top sides of the bodice on both wearers. Apparently Herrera's people know nothing about tailoring or fit

Yes-more red dresses, please! I can think of a couple of royals who’ve done stunning red dresses-Queen Letizia of Spain wore a gorgeous red dress to the Spanish State dinner at Buckingham Palace in 2017 (I think). Also the then Duchess of Cambridge (now Princess of Wales) wore a stunning red gown to the Chinese State Banquet in 2015 (again, I think the date is correct. Both women have worn some AMAZING red dresses. They would be a great starting point. Both are great examples of superb tailoring. Loved this video. And for everyone who wants to crow 'body shame' at me - being morbidly obese is NOT an innate, immutable characteristic. The tragedy is that red is possibly the most complimentary color people can wear, so many different shades, and it is a color that make anyone look like a stunner. Red brings in the passionate vibe, it’s eye catching, helps the person wearing red be a show stopper, it’s suppose to help those who wear this vibrant color. Yet, somehow these designers didn’t think twice of how their clients were walking out of their studio to become a laughing stalk with their names attached. Yes, another red dress video is welcomed, might as well include the iconic black dresses! 💃

Agreed with everything, Beebs. On the final dress, there is also something weird happening at the side seams as seen at 11:55. The blonde woman in the sapphire blue dress is wearing something much more suited to the occasion. The dress is very attractive to boot. Regarding Meghan's first red dress, she also wore this sort of capelet on the occasion when she was seen with late Queen for the first time. That cream dress when she tried to get in the car ahead of the queen? Yeah, that time, with that dress that looked like she could only move her arms from the elbows down wearing it. It is kind of like the dresses have been designed to make the wearer look at bad as possible. The feminine form can be a beautiful sight, but if you make the dress fit so that all of the rolls of flesh are showing with no real reason for doing so, just makes the feminine form suffer. They are not sexy. The dorky duchess excels, it seems at choosing her such clothing. I think that many of these designs are basically used as an up your nose gesture. It makes me glad I will never have to see them again.

I would love another of these videos, I have been sewing for 50 years and have a professional qualification in pattern cutting and design, but we all know that there is always something new to learn, and I always learn from your videos, so more PLEASE. !!!! I do feel sad for the women who have allowed others to put them in dresses that anyone who liked or loved them, would not let them go out in, on a deeper level, it does speak to them having some serious body insecurity. One of the reasons I appreciate your videos is that you are always up beat and encouraging us all to dress to look and feel better, and we all know if we think we look good we are on top of the world.
