How is it not Gross for Brighton? A very complete midfielder who is consistent and has scored plenty of quality goals. Every time I watch Brighton I think he could play for a top 6 team. Harvey Elliot isnt underrated or overrated. He's very well taken care of. He's rated very highly at Liverpool theyre just protecting his progression and allowing his maturity to happen naturally, at the time he was working close to being a main stay starter he got a bad injury, now he's back to that same level and constantly in and around the team, he doesn't start on the wing because he isnt fast enough, he doesnt start centre mid because he isnt strong enough defensively, but he's one of those versatile players that you always account for just not necessarily a 1-11 player, the attacking version of Milner, or the midfield version of Jota

Actually I believe Harvey Elliot's best games this year have been when Liverpool went down to 10 men and he's been playing in double pivot with Szoboszlai but has the license to roam, take the ball and run with it. Wee Joe Allen used to do that when Klopp took over in first year. I think he could be good in a role Sterling had playing behind Suarez and Sturridge but I doubt we going into that system anytime soon.

He's deceptively quick if you watch him closely. He's not blistering but he can certainly cover the ground quicker than people think. I think he is underrated by everyone outside of Liverpool, Fulham and Blackburn rovers. However, the most underrated player would be either Jota or Endo.

Most underrated players at Spurs are easily Sarr or Hojbjerg. Sarr is so vital to the way we play. He brings energy and work ethic that some of our other midfielders lack. He makes us tick. Yet when everyone is fit Sarr is the one most likely to drop out. Hojbjerg on the other hand. Yes he's not everyones favourite but he is excellent at adding stability in the midfield. He is the kind of player who will do the dirty work. Put in the hard graph for fhe team. He is very limited but i dont think people appreciate enough just the role he does do well.

My thoughts went straight to Endo for this. I was frustrated earlier in the season with people talking about "Klopp not fancying him" and "Klopp not trusting him" whereas all I saw was Klopp easing him into the side in precisely the same way he did Fabinho and Roberston (and I suspect he might also have done with Darwin had Diaz not got injured early last season). It also ignored how Klopp was on record as a big Endo fan, a position he'd made clear several times over the years.

AWB is still United's most underrated player. People still can't see past him not being a flash attack minded player. They overlook or down play the benefits he brings to the team. Most people will concede that's he's "World class" in 1v1 situations. But refuse to see any other benefits. He's Mr Consistent. A nightmare for even top wingers. Also a selfless workhorse that constantly looks to progress the ball. He possesses great football intelligence and positioning both defensively. But also in supporting the attack. He keeps it simple and plays to his strengths. He always aids the team in everything he does. But more importantly what he doesn't do. That self awareness and selflessness enables his more creative/attack minded teammates to do more. But because he doesn't fit the mold of a cookie cutter attacking full-back he gets unfairly clowned on. Even most United fan's want him sold ASAP.

As a Wolves fan Joao Gomes would personally be my shout. The bloke blocked a u turn by Flamengo to come to Wolves when they tried to ship him to Lyon last minute, literally covers every blade of grass. His ability to regain possession and not allow us to be dominated in the midfield, at his age is outstanding. The fact we’ve got rid of Neves and Nunes, and our midfield is the best it’s looked since coming back up says a lot about the ability of Gomes and Lemina.

Torres he’s not only the most underrated Villa player he’s one of the most underrated players in the whole league. I'd not say they really rate Longstaff tbh, talk is always of Bruno, Joelinton and getting Willock or Tonali back but Longstaff is like their McTominay, always seems to pop up in the right place.

He does the job that's needed if him, which is why he remains first choice at Newcastle. The fact that you say he's not good, when clearly he is, means you underrate him. Those are the obvious three, but I'd say that people went so all in on the idea that Salah being at the AfCon would sink us that we could argue they were under-rating our other forward players. I was arguing with someone earlier who still insisted that we can't cope without Salah despite have demonstrated for the last six weeks that we absolutely can. There's also something to be said about the lack of commentary on our tendency to have multiple different scorers in each match...

Even though Haaland has scored more goals than Nunez in the Premier League, I think there's an argument to be made that Nunez is the better player. As a Liverpool fan, it’s hilarious they think Konate has been better than VVD. They try anything to knock him, he’s not been better than VVD this season, statistically, on the eye, and for what he does as a captain. Bernado Silva is fcking worshipped at City fellas, certainly not underrated. If I had to pick one I'd go Manuel Akanji, a really solid defender - cost just £15m, can play anywhere across the back line & even moves into midfield. Strong, quick (for a defender), v decent in the air, intelligent, versatile, hard-working, with good distribution

I think it's best to do your own club. For me, Aké is insane, i think all the city fans know he's fantastic and you can't go past him, literally. I think of course Grealish is going to be a shout bit he's been a bit patchy as of late. But if you want the true definition of underrated, its Gvar. He's playing out of position, yes he's had a few dog performances but the reason he's playing there is coz he can do that Stones role really well. He's a great passer, good vision, good physicality. He'll be awesome one day, he just needs to settle in a bit. Nunes is also looking great but Gvar gets a lot more stick. Remember hes only like 22.
