I knew about the speedbreaker thing since I was a kid, mainly because i used to drift around a lot and just noticed it going up insanely quickly. Very useful in pursuits.

Is the game combining the forces of your hit against the traffic car and the collision of the traffic car against the cop? Is it depenetration shenanigans? Has anyone ever reverse engineered the game enough to figure out how exactly this works

It might have something to do with how each car is hit, kind of like how hitting police cars from the back isn't nearly as effective as hitting it from the side. Plus most Black Box NFS games had some shenanigans going on with the traffic weight or something. Even in UG1, sometimes traffic is heavier when you hit it than after you hit it and vice versa.

you might want to start using Xtended Input it's so much better than using an Xbox controller wrapped to DInput as it allows you to use it through Xinput directly the main benefit is that you can hold both triggers simultaneously and they won't cancel each other out, and eventually extended rumble support will be added too

For me hardest challenge was last gold pursuit from NFS Carbon. Heat 5 - 6 and Skyline R34, these cops were waay more agressive than in NFS MW and there were a lot of more spikes.

Nah, that was very easy, you just don’t leave the highway that they literally START you on. It was the biggest slap in the face when I figured that out, seemed so obvious. You start in the starlight strip, and then you go and go and go until the highway ends, turn around, repeat!

It's actually better than whatever we got in the release version. If you are lucky and fast enough, you can turn around and drive to the stadium and get 500k in a matter of seconds and finish the challenge. I completed mine in like 50 seconds or so. So much for "THE HARDEST MW CHALLENGE"

I do think the 30 Minute Challenge is fine as a last challenge in the Challenger Series. It can be though to survive for that long, except when you just stay on the Bus Station.😂 But yeah, Razor should have much more bounty, it's so easy to get it when you get to Heat 5 in a few pursuits.

8:20 I don't remember how I found out about it, but I think when I was "drifting" via Truck's Cargo (Or maybe not, Maybe I managed to drift during the race, idk) And I saw the Speedbreaker filling up very quickly I was like "You can do that?! That's awesome!" Well, being a kid (Obviously it was a long time ago) and having random ideas seems to be working out sometimes. Edit: Also I see that Heat 7 in a Beta was much harder, because In a final game it feels like Heat 3, but with Heavy Rhinos. (Unless Hard Mod is installed, but I doubt that.)

Fun fact: police actually talk about Fires when blowing up gas pumps, but the actual quotes in the game are the same quotes but cut shorter to take any mention of fires out. Also, would this mod use any more unused quotes from earlier builds? I heard about 4-5 in this video. Maybe we can hear other cut quotes like the mentioned gas pumps setting fires or when cops see the Helicopter going down

I always thought 500k bounty was too low for this as it was the final event. Now it makes sense. 15 mil was too much and 500k is too low, around 5 mil would be the optimal.

Hey, Kuru. Here is a tip for you. If you want accelarate faster without wheelspin, just try to let off gas a little bit. Just for a second and then press gas again. It helps me sometime.
