Part 2 from the last vlog this was the second part of the day where we went to the Markets i met some locals and had some laughs! i still have another Mosul vlog or 2 with the amazing guys at Mosul Heritage...but first, this one!
walking through the markets and the old tea places....in the industrial "alleyway" were all the Blacksmiths, and one guy was in the Olympic games many times and had 50 medals! he was really funny as you will see, i so wanted to spend more time with him! very interesting and fun! i will hunt him out when i go back! i really didnt know much about the history of the castle so had to google it! i will go back again perhaps when i know more as its interesting to me!
thanks for watching and all your support ! it means the world and helps me be able to keep doing this , with just the views and subscribers! so thank you all... the guide I used was Othman Anees …

Whats wrong with you ? Of course Middle east is great and people are kind and hospitable. Especially in Iraq from my own experience. But what the hack do you think you are? You really offended all world excluding Middle east while thinking you are kind ? And if you think there is only Middle east and western world you should go back to school. But most importantly, you should learn you manners and dont have egoistic statements. This opinion you showed is absolutely sick and disgusting. If somebody from Europe would say something like that, most of people like you would say he is racist....

Another great vlog Emma. You don't need to be some slick youtuber with drones and all kinds of other nonsense. You make us feel like we are there with you and a very simple and fascinating way. I have been working through all your Iraq videos. It's so silly of these Police to stop you from filming if they understand you are a tourist and not doing something sinister. The Iraqi government should welcome more youtubers and ensure they are not being shut down if they are not being a problem. Tourism brings in lots of needed revenue, particularly to the average Iraqi shopkeepers. You are single handedly changing the negative perceptions of people who may believe that all of Iraq is bad. Not that I thought it was all like that, but I surely had no idea it was a wonderful, interesting, and welcoming as you have shown. Changing perceptions will bring in investment and tourist revenue. I hope stability and prosperity stays because it has so much potential to be one of the great tourist destinations if the people of Iraq want that. More importantly these lovely people have suffered more than most would be able to bear. I certainly would love to visit.

Wow , thank you so much for such lovely words you write about my beloved Iraq , yes Iraq was another much misunderstood country which the media painted a bleak picture off , where the reality is the total opposite! It’s filled with amazing people that some had seen nothing but wars , they are all beautiful friendly hospitable people ! Love iraq and it’s history, hospitality, that’s why i went 3 times back to back when my visa expired each time ! I don’t know why I like these , what most call “war torn “. Countries, but it’s all about the people in these countries, that have been through so so much , yet welcome tourists with open arms and would do anything to make you feel like a guest, thwy do it well! Also you won’t find me ever doing any fancy vlogs with drone shots and music ! I’m the least technical person I know lol … thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice comment.. it leaves an impact on me to read nice comments after reading so many negative ones from my afghan vlogs ,. Thanks again and thank you for your support.. Emma x

Emma tahini is made of sesame as you know. It's very nutritious. it's not eaten on it's own. you should mix it with honey or caramel or even with maple syrup. With date is very nice too . You can find it in London and Scotland, mostly in Turkish or Arabian shops. I hope the Iraqi police don't see am publishing this information about tahini on the public domain, otherwise I'll be in trouble 😂

Dear Emma.. I would like to explain about the stons you saw in mosul market. There is an old habbit or biological funny habbit.. The women especially vilages women when they get pregnant, they having urgent pregnancy craving to eat this stone. They enjoy eating it.. I think this feeling due to lack of some mineral in their bodies as a result of pregnancy... This stone become very soft in the mouth when it chewed.. There is another using of it. They smash ston and convert them to mud.. and cover face and body with it for more skin softness.
